Adding 12V port in the front-center compartment of a 2006

Post by meall »

Hi,As far as I can remember , Vibe's model from 2003 to 2005 had a 12V port into the front-center compartment in between the 2 front seats. The 2006 Vibe don,t have this. I ask my GM garage if that could be added to the 2006, and they could not find a peice for that in their catalog. So far, the guy pointed out that there is a cable there (when you remove the module), but he was not sure it could be used as a 12V plug. The hole is already there in the rear compartment.Any idea on where/how to add this? That may be usefull in camping this summer to plug a refregerated termos. Thanks

Huh. My 50 doesn't have it... I think the change was from the 04 to the 05 model years generally, though there certainly is some variation.

My 05 didn't have one either, and the dealer wanted $21 for the part plus installation. Went to Wal-Mart, bought a generic outlet for $5 and wired it myself. Took less than 15 minutes.
