With springs your stuck with the height they end up being once you install them. Dampening system = Don't know

I Chose coil overs mainly because of winter. Since the Vibe is my primary vehicle year round, I have to drive it in inclemnt weather. The coil overs allow me to slam the car in the spring summer fall timeframe but during the winter, I can raise it up to darn near original height in about 20 minutes.

What is required to switch back to stock springs after adding 2"+ (Tein S-Tech) springs? I would rather stay away from spending the extra money for adjustable coilovers. This would be for the change of seasons, if I even end up driving the vibe in the snow.

Adjustable dampening means you can change the firmness of your ride from soft to hard for different needs. For everyday you can keep it soft. For Autocross, like Mavrik is doing, you can change it to firm to reduce body roll.
