Link is to a web page, so you can't load in a web page via the IMG tagsThe image is 2240 x 1680, pretty big loading into a web browser, but the file size of the image I downloaded from http://community.webshots.com/...PyeWU was only about 424 KB, so it should have been uploadable.Anyway, here is an 800x600 version of the poor vibe, for the big version follow the link http://community.webshots.com/...PyeWUouch!
Tis the season, a guy at work hit one a few days ago. At least one a day hit on the road from here to work this time of the year, a 3 mile stretch.

That is a sad sight. It is the same color as mine, so it is scary too. I never want to see my car like that.On a lighter note, did you have venison for dinner?

accident happened on the way home from a (removed) dale concert ( 12:30 am ) - not really dinner time. i'll find out about the repair estimate tomorrow sometime.i doubt the vibe will ever run as smooth again. in the meantime i'm rollin in a granny-mobile buick century...
cruise was on 50mph until the deer ( and I ) saw each other. there's about 75 feet of tire tracks on the road. i figure maybe 40 mph at the time of impact. windshield only has a couple blood stains.
ouch is right. i know the feeling:http://forums.genvibe.com/zero...35905after this hit, i started having electrical problems...mainly due to the fact that the battery shattered and sprayed all through the engine bay. many of the wires were eroding...

Next time use a rifle....The deer are breeding like rabbits around here and they're not scared of cars.Time to pull out the winter beater car and go hunting:)Good luck with the insurance company.Andrew

That which may be known of God is evident within man, for God has shown it to them, so that they are without excuse.(Romans 1:19-20) What do you want most in life?
wow, that's a big chunk of change, glad you have insurance. Hope your rates don't go up as a result, don't think they should for a deer, and it would be worth it rather than to have to spend that much out of pocket to get the car fixed. A good shop should be able to fix it good as new.How long will it take to get it fixed, and what are you driving in the meantime?

interestingly, i hit the deer in NY state...and the police officer asked me where I hit it so that he could go collect the meat....i don't know if he donated any of it though.

Can you eat road kill deer ? I thought if the spleen has ruptured that the meat was no good. Then again, last year a guy in my area had a pickup with about 5 bambi's off the side of the road.
Quote, originally posted by BOZACK »It depends on how long the deer has been dead. Once it starts to bloat it is not good. At least I wouldn't eat a bloated deer. i'd stay away from dloated beer too!
