Anybody have any problems with this yet? Apparently mine are starting to go bad. I'm at 51,500 miles. It's the first thing that i'm gonna have to get fixed that isn't just maintenence. Luckily I bought an extended warranty with $0 deductible.

I think the noise my car makes when it's in drive, but I have my foot on the brake, may be motor mount related. They replaced the exhaust manifold AND the serpentine belt, but the problem is still there. It's either the tranny or the mounts IMHO.
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!
I am sure your warranty covers motor mounts but I bought a 1987 Plymouth Voyager and the extended warranty. One of the motor mounts failed and it was not among the listed parts covered. Cost me $140. I was streamed.

If your mounts really are going bad, you may be able to get away with spending $30 on some polyeurothene inserts. That'll reinforce what's left of the stock rubber mount, plus lock your engine down tighter to the frame. And it's better than paying $$$ for new OEM mounts.Nevermind...just read you have the $0 deductable ext warranty...
They tear and allow excessive movement. You can take the front one out in 5 min. and look at it Or just reach in and feel it with your finger. I suppose a mirror and light would work also. The rear can go bad if the front was reinforced without the back. jcarvibegt, how do you know that yours are bad? I don't think they'll get replaced under warranty if they're just getting soft.

My mechanic was the one who mentioned to me that the mounts were going bad when i asked him to check out the car. BTW the warranty did cover them and they were replaced on 10/21. Man! What a difference. It got rid of most of the notchy feeling in the ****fter. No more missing gears or grinding into shifts. I wish i would have done this months ago. I think it even feels better than when the car was new. Apparently the engine shifting too out of place, wrecks havoc on the tranny. Makes me think that this could have been the problem with the tranny from the begining.
