I bet you could find a used one, modified for pretty cheap (maybe not landcruiser, but probably a 4runner)You could probably find a pretty decent trail rig with mods for under $5K. You wouldn't have to worry about denting it. You probably would have to worry about maintaining it, but heck - its just for fun (read: a toy) - its not like you are going to be driving daily.

I loved the Typhoon and Syclone setups. those things rocked back in their day. I hear they are a pain to upkeep though. But man, 0-60 in 5 seconds in a Jimmy must have been fun. Good luck on your restoration.
