Toyota Landcruiser before the soccer moms got to it...

Post by kaybeejay »

http://home.attbi.com/~rkrenn/bigballs.wmvThis was taken in Australia. It looks like some sort of off-road obsticle course.Recommend to Right-click-and-save to your harddrive. The Download is 3.5mb and the video is a few minutes long.

quote:I am sad to say that the suspenion on that Landcruise has been severly modified. Why is it so sad to say that? Unless you are stating the obvious....that that wasnt a stock Landcruiser.

I bet you could find a used one, modified for pretty cheap (maybe not landcruiser, but probably a 4runner)You could probably find a pretty decent trail rig with mods for under $5K. Look here: http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/forumdis ... umid=36The trick is finding one in your area. Most of these are in the California area. Most of those rigs are pretty old and beat up. You wouldn't have to worry about denting it. You probably would have to worry about maintaining it, but heck - its just for fun (read: a toy) - its not like you are going to be driving daily.

I loved the Typhoon and Syclone setups. those things rocked back in their day. I hear they are a pain to upkeep though. But man, 0-60 in 5 seconds in a Jimmy must have been fun. Good luck on your restoration.

Bah! Thats nothing for an offroad course! I could take my Vibe there. Love to see what a Hummer (Not H2) could do there.
