Congrats and Welcome to GenVibe! With 18's the proper tire size is 225/40/18 to maintain oem overall diameter.(assuming the width is 7.5")The drop amounts you have listed should be fine.

I would think you would be okay, but don't know for sure with the 235 width. I have 18-225/40 tires with the Tein S-tech springs which give about a 2-2.4" drop. My wheels are 8" wide and so I could put 235s on. What size do you have/are getting? 235 would look a little better on my wheels and protect their rims a little more. Anyone else with 235s? The wheel offset can affect this as well, so you might want to look into that as well.Edit: Forgot to mention as Bluecrush did, 235/40/18 will be a larger outside wheel/tire diameter. If you want to try the calculator and check, I wonder if the 235/35/18 size is a better bet.

dudes, the difference between 225's and 235's is only less .200 per side on the width of the rim. so I wouldn't get him too worked up over the wider tire.
