Cool find with the triangle thing. I'm not too surprised about it though. On the base that I work, we have designs carved into the lake bed where the jets fly. Here's a pic of the lakebed I see every time I drive into work. If you look in the top-left corner, you can see a parked jet that you can use for size reference.

Mase, maybe I'm the only one having this problem but all your files come up as .zip files and the links don't work when I open them. Just wondering. Maybe I am doing something wrong. All the other .kmz files work fine.

Ok, you guys got me hooked on this Google Earth deal....How about checking out all the fighter jets, B-52's, A-10's, etc. at Nellis AFB near Las Vegas. There's jets all over the grounds at this AFB, not just where I put the thumbtack. Just across the highway from here is also the Las Vegas motor speedway.P.S. I guess I'm not doing it right also. I'm saving the .kmz file, but it's coming up as a zipped doc file when I upload it here.(?)

This one is an image overlay that shows where it is daylight, where it is nght. Kinda hides some of the detail of the regular map, but still interesting.I think the kmz is set to update every ten minutes, but you can manually refresh it faster
I saw that on CNN, and thought cool, I have that program! THey were using that suborbital hop view to switch from on elocation to another. There are some Katrina image overlays available in various threads of the google earth Current Events forum http://bbs.keyhole.com/ubb/pos...vents

KML/KMZ files are data files for Google Earth. Google Earth is a mapping application that you have to download and install on your PC, it's free, about a 10.5 MB download, and is only for windows PCs You can get it from http://earth.google.com/
http://www.gearthblog.com/check out this site for more!(the airport tracking kmz files are cool...3d flight tracking at JFK via google earth is just amazing!)
I have signatures turned off so I'm not even sure what mine says in this space!
