See I was thinking about staying with silver too, but I think the black probably matches the color of my car better than silver

He also said they had a stcker and they were going to start chopping and all that, so I just thought MAYBE he would have some production pics we could see or something. I'm sure that's all TOP SECRET stuff though! One can wish!

How about the S-Techs that come with all aftermarket hoods by law? You guys better start making a list before you forget! I remember Stang2Vibe attempted it once and he said it was pretty tricky but the spray nozzles is the least of my worries. We have a carbon fiber hood on order!

Havok, I really think you need to chime in on this thread over at matrixowners.com: http://www.matrixowners.com/fo...rt=45s ... ly...Quote »Okay guys I talked to the guy that does the carbon fiber. He wants to start with the hood. I need 15 people who want a PURE carbon fiber hood. NO FIBERGLASS! This is the real deal. The company only does the race cars now. but they want to use matrixowners.com to get their name out. We talked on the phone for 2hours today. The hood will be oem style and he said if there is anyone that can doonate a hood to start that will save us a lot on cost. I will be posting pictures in the next few minutes. So if anyone is involved in a group buy on here for a hood. DONT! it fiberglass junk. with carbon skin. Not to offend anyone but its true. You will see the difference when I post the pics in a moment. If the hoods go well they have agreed to the back hatch next. That would be a huge weight reduction. To show I am serious this is the link to their site.http://www.rnrcomposites.com/ they build the body parts for the Caddy LMP car, The Jaguar, And the Lamborghini Merc. And this link has one of the hoods they make for a bmw and look at the price they are selling us these hoods for cost. These are 2500 hoods. Our price will be around 750and my reply...Quote »Isn't the fiberglass skeleton for safety issues? I believe I saw a post around here (or at genvibe.com) stating that, in a front end collision, REAL CF may not crumple properly and COULD fly through your windshield, obviously not good results when your freakin' head is there. Whereas, a CF hood w/ fiberglass skeleton would crumple properly. Is this true? Would someone post some facts backing up the reasons why this is/is not the case?

I waited to tell my friends I was getting a hood until I ordered it just so I wouldn't jinx it (everytime I say I am getting anew part it allways fals apart) I started telling some of my friends since I ordered it so if I jinxed this and this hood isn't good quality or if I don't get it at all I'm going to kill the world...

Like Christian was saying, the fiberglass is there on everyday driver cars for a reason: safety. Maybe on full-fledged race cars they can use full carbon fiber hoods, but with fiberglass skeleton is there to protect you should you get in an accident. That guy is from a competing company. Of course he is going to talk $h*t about the hoods we ordered.

Yeah I re-read his post and thought to my self "what a buch of b/s" he sounds like an ebay seller (removed). Like he's preaching to you and trying to brainwash you into not buying it. Besides there's no way in hell I'd pay $800 for a hood let-alone an OEM style hood!!!!!!!!

JSP is in NFSU2 so I doubt it's going to be bad quality. They wouldn't be ina video game if it were bad quality. I allways put the JSP sticker on the rear windshields of my cars jsut because it looks cool

Same, although I've only beaten like 85% of the total races since even after you beat the game you're only at like 67% race completeness. Playing on XBox live is cool too cause somehow the people on drag tweak there cars to pull 0-60 in 1.1 seconds lol fastest I ever got mine to was 1.5

Ok now I get teh idea. Sweet hood!! I imagine it'll have the mesh in it as well like the Evo? does it directly vent over top of the rad or is diverted from underneath somewhere else? Got to admit I'd be Peeing my pants with anticipation if I'd ordered it. I hope one of you will post pics once you install it.
