I am installing underbody Neon's and have got all the wires ran and the front neon mounted and know how I am mounting the sides (just waiting to put it on lift at friends shop) but I am still tring to figure out were to mount the back one. I tried putting it behind the bumber mounts, but that did not work.. any sugestions or picutes would be greatly apriciated. Thanks in advanced.
I attatched my rear ones on the rear cross bar of the chassis. The cross bar is curved though so it kept breaking the screws. So basically I looked like a moron driving around with one side of my neon tube peeking out. So to solve this problem I used two "L" brackets about 3"x3" or so and atatched them to the chassis and then attatched the tube to the brackets. it helps absorb more shock from the bumps and also brings it lower to the ground. Since the rear of the chassis is high off the ground, if you just bolt it to the chassis it wont be as bright If you need me to take pictures of the installation point or something let me know I just got a shiny new camera for xmas
I just made 3 peices of 1x2 inch metal plates screwed them to the frame and screwed the neon brackets to them. same Idea as merzbow just done a little different.
I think I remember using cable ties to secure the back one...i'll have to take a look and see exactly what I did.

#3I can try to get better pics tomorow when it's light out. I think if I were to use just a flat bracket instead of an L bracket it would be even brighter on the ground since the L bracket raises the tube about 2 inches higher. I was more concerned with the tube getting mounted on a flat surface instead of the curved chassis that I didn't think about how close I wanted the tube to the ground.
I'm guesing thats the back tube! I can't wait to see the night shots! I was debating on putting mine on today since its like 40 degrees out!!! Pathedic how 40 degrees feels warm now. I think I'm gonna wait til March though I don't want to get any ice on it. I'lll be installing the transformer and maybe the front and rear tubes today though. The front and rear wont work until I get the sides in but that's fine. Just less work to do and more time to enjoy it when March rolls around.
