From the looks it'll just be you get it once it's paid off, but that might be risky for them if they build it and someone doesn't come through with the full payment. Hope you do, though! We need all the people we can get!

It can be shipped to residential or business.. either way. shipping to residential is only a few dollars more and yes you do not get the hood until its paid off. so if the hood production is completed by april but you do not pay til may then thats fine. those who pay first get shipped first.. and i dont think anyone wants to be out $50 so thats why there is a deposit on it..

If I were to pay you my $50 deposit, my intention would be to pay it off ASAP. However, what if I were to send you installments, such as $250 in April, then another ~$200 in May or June? What would your deadline be for the balance? I understand the hoods wouldn't be shipped until fully paid for - no problem - but at what point will you turn around and sell the hood to someone else if the balance doesn't come in for a few months?

"here is a pic of a blue cf hood for those wondering what it looks like.. and let me clearify myself by saying this is not the hood for the VIBE this is just a general picture to show you the color"Can i get that kind of hood and color? i don't like the m style, but whay kind of hood is this?
Quote, originally posted by damronjr »That is the Inavder style hood and really the only difference is that the M-style has a splitter piece in the center of the vent.I thought that was the m-style. That's the hood pic Havok posted, it's the M-style for a diff. car...On another note, HAvok, are these hoods 100% CF/Kevlar? Or are they fiberglass cores wrapped in CF?I only ask this because of another thread over at MO.com stating that his guy can make 100% pure CF hoods, unlike the other ones that have a fiberglass skeleton...I'm new to CF hoods, so I wouldn't know the difference besides weight. This won't change my mind either way, but I'd like to know
Hey Christian, look at pg 3 to see what a M-style looks like. I posted a few pics a while back. Not a huge difference, but we really need to see an actual picture of the exact hood they will be building. Also a pic of the Silver CF would be good too.

I actually prefer the M-style in general too the invader just because so many of the invader style hoods have those really raised walls in front of the scoop which I personally think looks fugly

From what he said he was just posting it to show the color of the blue CF. I have asked him numerous times to show a pic of what the hood will look like, but he has yet to do so.

Well that's just great LOL...I guess we'll wait for Havok to confirm which one it will look like.I know that in his MO.com thread, he said it would look like the Blue corolla's hood in the thread. I posted pics of it earlier in this one.EDIT: This is from my post on page 2, taken straight from his mo.com thread:
Thats invader style Christian, and I understood what havok said like damon did that in saying this wasn't the hood for the vibe he implied the style as well, it was meant as an example of colors (or so I would have thought). The m style hood that is in the thread right now isn't a good example of an M stylethis is really what a better m style looks like: it looks basically identical to invader with a smaller bump in the front part of the hood and with a split in the inverted scoop. And here are even more pics of a matrix with an M stlye hood
ok before we get this thing going.. lets set the differences away.. now the matrix hood we are calling a m style hood will not actually have the M in the hood but more like the invader where the scoop is not split.. but a much smaller lip than the invader style.. If you want the M let me know or if you want the one like we are doing for the Trix.. then we can do that as well...
Please show us a picture of EXACTLY what the hood will look like so we can decide. There are so many variations, we need to SEE what is being discussed so we can decide. We would also like to see the colors you mentioned so we can decide if we want those or not also. You showed the blue, but you never showed the silver. We need pictures please. You said M-style and now it's not even M-style, but a modified Invader! We need to se pics please.

This is a real cf hood.. on matrix owners we have decided to do the scoop that looks like the one in the picture of the matrix that was photochopped we call it an m style scoop but in all actuallity it does not have the middle bracket splitting the scoop it is a single scoop functional and will look identical to the one on the matrix in that picture.. The hood is carbon fiber with a fiberglass OE underbody for the "Crumple Zones" This is in fact a safety feature. The hood is very very light weight and hood pins are recommended but not necessary as the hood is so light that it may in fact pull up.. (if your going like 180mph..) I Do not have the picture of the Silver Kevlar Hood to Show.. Only the Blue and a Red one but we are not doing RED on this GB. Sorry For The Inconvience. Also i cannot show you what the actual hood will look like as we havent created it yet. This is where you the consumer plays a role.. you decide on how you want the hood to look and if you have any good photochoppers out there that wants to take each style and chop it on that would be great. As i Said the picture above of TC i believe it is or maybe its a rolla is the scoop that we are doing for the matrix.. it is not an M Style because it doesnt have the middle section. and its not an invader because it doesnt have the huge lip. That is the one we are doing for the Trix.I need to know if you want a hood like that or more like the invader or an M Scoop.. this is your design this is your part.. we will make it to be whatever you want it to be..
Sounds good, but you don't have any pictures showing what silver CF would look like? Do you work for JDM? Is there someone(at a company, not at home!) we can call to verify this project? I don't mean to be acting like you are a fake or anything, but we have to be skeptical of things like this. If it seems to good to be true, a lot of times it is you know. We just want to now that we aren't going to send our $$ off to someones bank account and never see anything in return. Personally, I don't care which design we use as I like them all. Let's all decide who's gonna go with this and which hood all of us will enjoy so we can get the 10 people together and do this!

We've had a few "less than legit" sellers cross our genvibe paths, but we do NOT suspect this of you Havok. We know you've been a member of the MO.com community for a while now, but these are always valid points. For all the Vibers, here's the photochopped matrix hood Havok was referring to...this is what it will look like, and exactly what I prefer in my hood:Anyone with Photoshop feel like doing the same on a Vibe?EDIT: typo'd...meant to type "cross OUR", not "OUT"
Good show posting the actual pic they are referring to since havock never did. This hood works for me, so if you want it as well, let us know. It doesn't look like we will be getting a pic of the silver CF, but we can guess. I will be taking 1 Silver CF hood in any style we end up deciding on. I just checked and noticed that havock IS a senior member on MO, and I didn't mean to offend you, just looking out for everyone here. When things don't seem right you have to ask questions.

As a distributor, Havok shouldn't take any offense. As for the silver CF and no pic, I guess we're stuck with the good ol' catch-22. He can't give us a pic because they've never made one...my guess is that YOUR hood will be the pic they use when selling them in the future, so you'll have been made a poster-boy. how cool is that
Might be rather difficult, but can you maybe try to make something like what a silver CF might look like? I guess I'll find out soon enough, but just for fun!

I did some googling, and found a pic of ZXtuner's Invader Hood in Silver Kevlar:also found this escort at cardomain: http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/673014I'm guessing he painted over part of it...maybe Havok can find a better pic of a generic silver kevlar hood.
