05 with missing 12-volt Outlet in Floor Console, just a hole behine the flip-up cover, is this a common occurence? Mistake or Cost Savings? Called dealer, they said they would look at it at the first oil change. Called GM, 800-GM-DRIVE and still awaiting a reply after one week. It is still indicated in both the sales brochure and owner's manual.
It probablly got pushed through....the service manager at our Pontiac Dealer told me to make sure mine was tight, that they have had to reseat a lot of them.

They whacked the console power outlet off the list of standard equipment for 2005. Do check this thread: http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=12127You'll have to get it added one way or another... Looks like the wiring is still there, so you would just need the socket.
