I've been using my 2010 1.8L base AT vibe to commute for the last month or so. ~55 miles each way of which, ~45 is non stop highway miles. I am very happy to report that I am averaging ~36-37 mpg. There are four captured bolts and clamps on the cross rails. The side rails have a 'cut out' where the clamps 'catch'. You attach/remove the cross rails with an allen wrench. The side rails attach with four bolts each (8 total) to existing threaded bolts in the roof structure under the plastic covers.

Yeah.,..I agree with the pickup. I just like being a little self sufficient when I can. I'm leaning towards a hitch with a small utility trailer for future projects.In the mean time, I'll my get my neighbor to help me move the lumber this weekend.thanks again....

Took delivery yesterday....the car ran flawlessley. 3 hour run each way....my clunker ran great too on the way out.Roof rack and body side moldings are on my radar.....other than that, I'm just going to enjoy the car for the next few years.
