Re: ptuning Borla Exhaust shippment refused! (Triton GT)

The picture of the tip shown doesn't represent the Magnaflow very well. I've seen both the Borla and the Magnaflow, and they are of equal quality. Sound quality of the Magnaflow is similar to the TRD exhaust. I've had mine on for 4 or 5 days now, and I must say that I really enjoy it. There's a defi...

Re: ptuning Borla Exhaust shippment refused! (Psychobroker)

I ordered on Sunday (02/08) and received yesterday (02/11). Fast shipping... I also installed yesterday due to the reasonably nice weather (45F,sunny). Let it be known that the old exhaust has to be physically cut-off behind the cat. I wasn't aware of this due to this being the first time I've done ...

2ZZ-GE SAE Technical Paper

Hello,Just figured you guys/gals may be interested in this paper...there's some VERY interesting information in it.I would like a bit of input from everyone about the Lock Pin versus Slipper Follower wear... It seems to me that this could be an issue 5-10 years down the road. Wear is unavoidable--ev...

Re: Mountain Bikes fit into Vibe? (good vibes)

I tried using the Yakima Blockheads in similar fashion, but could not get the bike to fit. I have a Trek 9.8 Elite mountain bike...size XL. The bike is too long to fit...and also, I'd have to lower the seat everytime (I have no quick-release for my seat). It sounds like everybody else's fit w/o much ...

Re: Good Promotion Thought... (Nervous_Dog)

The only other product similar to Kenwood's Music Keg system is by a company called SSI America. It is called the Neo Car Jukebox. The 20GB version is around $350, and the 80GB version is around $500, I believe. It has a removeable HDD, wireless remote, etc. Method of file transfer is USB 2.0, which...

Re: still smiling! (Pablo1669)

The phantom IIIs are fake. I've read reports that they are just empty boxes with LED lights in them. It's a whole scam by "Rocky Mountain Radar"... They have this "guarantee" that they'll pay your ticket if you get one for 10 or 15mph over the speed limit. What they bank on is th...

GT Production Numbers??

I have read all the posts I can find concerning month-to-month total Vibe numbers, but I was wondering how many of those happen to be GTs. Since I have bought my Vibe in late January, I have only seen 4 GTs but many, many base Vibes. Let me know if anyone can dig this stat up. Take care and drive ha...

Re: GT Injen CAI Install Tips...Please Help... (Lorin)

Yeah...you can definitely tell... I love the "hissing sound" @ idle, too... Most wonder if you can really feel 12hp/7t, but you can...especially since our car is relatively light...And, yes, I did hurt my thumb a little...just a little blood blister, though...no biggie. I had a question......

GT Injen CAI Install Tips...Please Help...

Hi. I'm receiving my Injen CAI tomorrow (Thursday the 20th). I know it comes with instructions, but I figured I'd ask those who've already installed their's for any problems they've run into so that I can avoid any. Any tips would be very much appreciated!!! Thanks!

Re: Synthetic Oil Use... (Lorin)

That's similar to what I've heard: Once you go synthetic, you can never go back to regular...I think it's because at colder temperatures, synthetic's viscosity stays thinner, and can cause leaks and such...at least that's what I've heard.

Synthetic Oil Use...

Hello. I just bought a Vibe GT a few weeks ago. I've done a decent amount of research, but haven't found much in the way of use of synthetics on the 2zz engine. The owner's manual says the car is broken in after 500 miles, but I hear from many that the car won't be broken in until around 10,000 mile...
