Re: 03 Vibe Door Won't Lock

Did you ever figure this out? My passenger front door lock has been doing this exact same thing for a while now. At first it wouldn't respond with the power locks, then it completely froze up in the unlocked position for a couple of weeks. I couldn't even move it by hand. This past week it suddenly ...

Re: When do you change your Vibes oil?

I change my 03 Base's oil every 10-12,000 miles. I use Mobil1 fully synthetic oil and filter and usually put about 20,000 miles on it per year, mostly highway driving. We bought the car in Dec 08 with 65K miles on it and just turned over 150,000 last month. It might lose/burn 1/2 qt in 10,000 miles.

Let me start off by saying I was an idiot and I did it all wrong...I replaced mine at 100,000 miles, and my pads were gone. I might have had 1mm of material left on one side, and the other was down to the backing plate. I originally looked at them because the brakes were making odd noises when braki...

Mine only does it when the visor is open and the moon roof closed. If I open the roof it goes away. If I close the visor it goes away.

That doesn't look bad at all. A hood, a grille and a bumper looks like it'll have the body back to new again.

I bought two hydraulic jacks a few years ago. I put one at each end and do one side at a time. I usually only rotate front to rear, not left to right. When I do bother with full front-to-rear-and-left-to-right I just do one at a time rotating out the spare as I go. It's more time consuming but the j...

I'm in it for the gas mileage, not for getting from point A to point B in the shortest possible time. I get a twisted satisfaction from knowing that I'm getting 32-35 miles per gallon while the SUV blowing past me is only getting 16-18. Heck, I got 25-27 pulling a trailer with the Vibe.

Re: (BLACKEDOUTVIB)

I hate to jump on the anti-bike bandwagon, but you're only 16. You're not responsible enough to be riding a GSXR. I know, I know, you're "mature for your age" and you'll "respect the throttle"... Unless you've been racing them for several years already and actually know what you'...

Not too surprising. Nobody in this country wants a vehicle with the carrying capacity of an SUV and the gas mileage of a compact car. That's just silly.

Re: (GoodVibErations2004)

My wife and I got ourselves a new-to-us 2003 Vibe. The best part is that it is basically the car I have been wanting since 2002, when I first heard about the Vibe/Matrix.It is the monotone Neptune, with the Moon & Tunes package, and power everything. The only thing I wanted different in 2002 was...
