Very Understandable. I will talk with some of the folks at the Museum and see if a Saturday meet is possible (independent of the Cars on Canal show). I don't think it will be a problem. I'll update as I find out.
More info on the Car Shows at the H-D Museum: Now you can get the best of both worlds Tuesday evenings at “Cars on Canal†on the grounds of the Harley-Davidson Museum®, starting Tuesday, May 19. Whether you have a classic car, muscle car, hot rod or an “every day†car, all makes, models and...
Hi All, Harley-Davidson Museum (Milwaukee, WI, near downtown) holds a weekly car show (Tuesday nights) called "Cars on Canal" (Canal Street where the museum is located). It is generally for classic cars, but groups with newer vehicles have attended. Wanted to know if anyone was interested ...
Good call Merzbow. You mentioned, "Also, when the weather changes, that same oily stuff causes your windshield to fog up hardcore when it normally wouldn't." I can attest to that statement, you are 100% correct.
So far it is a great ride. Dealing with the dealer was a pain, but the car has been a delight to drive. I traded in an Accord 3.0l for the 1.8l. It takes a little getting used to, but I definetly do not fill up the gas tank as often. The satellite radio is awesome, the ride is quiet and comfortable....
At this point in the juncture, I would gather all the documentation referencing the safety recall, all of the contact points you had with the dealer and consider small claims. The state should be able to give you direction on that.
I measured and it is a 2.5" diameter. I saw a couple of cool LED tailpipes on overstock. Search on PYLE exhaust. Also at Autozone, they have some cheap ones for $10 up to $25.
There is an address on the back of your sales contract for DMV Dealer section. I found the website for the one in Wisconsin and emailed them. If worse comes to worse, these are the people that will mediate any issues you may have with the dealer.
I completely agree with northvibe. I spent five weeks of persistent prodding and plugging them as well as getting Pontiac involved. As a result, I got my Cargo Management System and Trim fixed within two days.
Just got back from the dealer. One service advisor said poor design and I was unfortunate to by a 2009. The second advisor indicated the Vibe is composed of cheap Toyota parts, and the service manager took a steering column trim out of a new car and replaced mine.Who says persistence doesn't correct...
Correct. There really was no install involved, which I told the dealer from day 1. The GM just slid out the panel in the back and took one from a showroom car and slid it in. No installation needed. The actual part is not sold on GM's accessories page and my Pontiac dealer does not have an updated c...
I used the armour all spray and a t-shirt on an '09. The bottle says shake well and use liberally. You have to put a good coat on and wipe off excess and it comes out pretty nice.
Are you sure about the cargo management system? When I lift my compartment lid, I have 3 sections with two nets in between, giving me 3 paper shopping bag size areas with shopping bag hooks. (see attached picture in previous posting). I get full utilization from it and I've only had it for two days....
After looking at the GT's cover, I pulled my order. I think what Pontiac does is crimps the exhaust cover and welds it. It is not symmetrical around the pipe. I am going to seek out an after market cover for mine.
After 5 weeks of plugging and prodding the dealer, I finally got my Cargo Management System. After being told it was a factory install, being offered a refund, and told the wrong part was ordered; the GM took a CMS out of a showroom car and placed it in mine. What took 5 weeks was resolved in 15 min...
Ahhh, this can only get worse.I have been told by the dealer that the Cargo Management System must be installed at the factory. So they delivered my car without a part I paid for.
Well finally after getting irate with my dealer, they are finally, "placing" the order for my chrome exhaust tip (2009) on Monday. (I ordered it back in May).
Oh, do I have a story about Wilde (Honda). This current situation however is with Greenfield Pontiac.I called Pontiac CAC yesterday and they gave me the contact number for the person in charge of my case. I left a voicemail for the case worker to call me back. It has been 24 hours and still no call....
I have tried to work with the dealer, called Pontiac customer service, and emailed the customer relations center and have not gotten a reply to my issue (loose steering column trim and no sight of ordered accessories). It has been two weeks since my last email to customer relations. Any suggestions?
They haven't gotten the original one yet. The problem is, due to lack of confidence with the dealer, I contacted Pontiac directly and they went off the part number the dealer had ordered. I am hoping the dealer is waiting (and just not telling me) for the '09 accessory and then placing the order wit...
At first I thought that too, but the mud flap would be behind the tire. I'm just hoping it isn't something the factory was suppose to remove before sending it out.
I have some sort of "L" bracket in front of my front tires and not sure what the practical use is for them. Curb stopper? (see attached)Does anyone know or has anyone removed them?
Hey SS21, I have an order in for a chrome exhaust tip through the dealer for one ($70). However I've been told they ordered one for the '03-'08 models and it will not fit my '09.
Funny you mention that about the part number. I went to a different dealer who looked up the part and actually had one at the dealership and it not even near what is advertised on the brochure/website.I am hoping (giving the benefit of the doubt) the dealer only used the part number as a placeholder...
The part goes for $150 on the website. Unfortunately I had to argue with the dealer in order to get it. It is listed in the brochure as Standard on all 2.4L models and optional on the 1.8L. The dealer placed the order for the car and then followed up with the Cargo Management System afterwards.
Hi All, I am new to the forum. First Vibe. Bought the base for the fuel economy and wish more could have been added from the factory instead of relying on the idiot dealers in my area. On Order - Cargo Management System, Chrome Exhaust Tip.Future List - 18" Rims (steel blue metallic highlights)...
Does anyone have a 2009 Vibe 1.8L with the Cargo Management System? Mine was ordered seperate from the car (dealer was not able to order), and I have been waiting 4 months for it. None of the dealers in my area can even pull it up on their parts ordering. Also, the chrome exhaust tip I ordered appare...
Does anyone else have a problem with the steering colum trim?Mine is so loose, it actually will pop over the ignition stem. According to my local dealer, they are passing it off as a poor design. Also, in pictures online, there appears to be an ignition stem collar. My 2009 does not have it and two d...
Hi All, I am new to this awesome site. Here is my 2009 before picture - since it takes along time for Pontiac to get product out-to-market for the 2009.
