Attention: 2009 Vibe owners, Picture request!!!

Can anyone take a picture, at night and without the flash, of what the dashboard looks like with all its different color lights? Try to get a steady, clear shot. Thanks!!!

Oh, so, what, everyone who lives in a city is a rebel? Everyone has to listen to punk music? What the hell, Toyota doesn't know what they're doing. And they tried to put it in graffiti font...eugh.Horrible styling, horrible tagline, and in my opinion this is the unwanted twin.

Wasn't a base, it was a 2.4L, and we aren't so concerned with a little tiny (what, 0.6mpg?) loss from the roof racks. We wouldn't be getting all those options though, unless the roof racks are standard and then we'd be using them.

That's the plan. We're gonna catch up on everything else, moneywise, for now. By the time we have those things covered, the '10s will be coming out and either a major defect will be found and avoided in the '09, or the '10 will be much more efficient, or it'll be a great time to get some good cleara...

Test drove an '09 today!

It was base except for the 2.4L, A/C, and Auto tranny. Not a GT, and it was FWD. Plain, bland-looking Black, by the way. It's a very solid riding car, first off. Big bumps aren't its best friend because of the stiff suspension. The bolstered seats are very nice, and the front seats have plenty of tra...

Wow, those are some astronomical mpg numbers! 2.4 and 5AT you say? I'm dragging mom and dad to the Pontiac dealer to see if the Vibe is tailored to them, so we may join you in being an '09 owner!

Does anyone know how Pontiac is, as a company, about their customer service? Like, do they have a bad reputation of not taking responsability for repairs or whatever for broken things? Same with Toyota?

We also have some incentive over the Corolla because we'd fit in the Vibe more comfortably and it's a lot more utilitarian. We're gonna have to weigh the pros and cons of this one a lot.

Wait a minute, three things I gotta ask.1- Just how good on gas is the 1.8? Actual viewed MPG would be great. Is there an instant mileage readout in the gauge cluster?2- Are those wheel covers from an older vibe? Love 'em.3- The new Vibe's don't have mudflaps, I didn't think, are they only available...

Unfortunately, they need to revise their tests again. High gas prices mean people aren't going to be driving like they used to, as in WOT all over the place and 80mph on highways. We're looking at an age of 60-65mph highway speeds that's dawning now that gas is so damn expensive.Theoretically, a 2.4...

Excellent to hear it, Bikerscum! Especially with that 2.4L averaging it's maximum highway rating on that 'brutal' commute! The new EPA tests are a bit too harsh, imo, and make everything look bad. Better than candyland with the ones before, though. Lemme ask you, do you use the tapshift in the auto ...

Wait, if the extended warranty makes it bumper-to-bumper for 5 years/100,000miles, then that sounds quite worth it! Especially on the first generation of any new car, because you never know what might come up later on down the road.

Okay, that's a good figure to work with. We're not going with anything like the Fit or xA, the small engine hurts fuel economy. We're most likely going with the 2.4 5AT 2009 Vibe. I know it's still too new to really rate, but if anyone has one of those please post here about what you've seen so far!
