I have a base 2005 (15,000 miles) with a 5 speed manual. All city driving with the AC running (honolulu) and I have been lucky to get 18 miles to the gallon. Stayed pretty much the same since new.

Drivers Side Floor Mat

I have the factory carpeted floor mats and the top portion under the clutch and brake pedal will not lay flat and curls up to the point of interfering with clutch pedal movement. Any else have this problem and how did you fix it other than replacing the mat?

You are still doing better than me. I have a 2005 base 5 speed manual that I struggle to get 18MPG. This is all city and the AC running most of the time. This is in Honolulu so the cold isn't the issue

Just to reassure the rocket scientists on this board, I calculate my mileage based on starting with a full tank and log the number of gallons used to fill the tank and mileage between fills. To make this simple, if 10 gallons are needed to fill the tank according to the pump and miles driven are 130...

It looks like my mileage is on the low end of everyone's numbers. I have a base 2005 with a 5 speed manual, averaging between 15 to 18mpg for mostly city driving with the AC running a significant amount of time (live in honolulu)

fuel mileage

I have 2005 vibe base model with a 5 speed manual transmission with 15,000 miles. As we live in Honolulu the AC is on most of the time and most of my miles are city related. My question is I have been averaging somewhere between 15 and 18 miles per gallon with no recognizable driveability problems. ...
