welcome to the board, nice of you to finally make a post.have you always gotten 20mpg or has it just started? it is still cold out and that makes a big impact on our mileage, since your awd that will also cause slightly lower mileage. i'm also currently gettin 20-23mpg but all of those miles are city. have you taken any highway trips lately? you should hit 30mpg then if you keep the speed around 70.if you hear a banging noise when it shifts, you should probably get that checked out, there could be a problem with your transmission and if so that could be whats lowering your mileage.

welcome! silent member I'm going with that coldmm803 says, 1. winter gas sucks and your mileage suffers from it, 2. you did clean up the engine side of what makes bad mileage but what about the exhaust? I wonder if theres a test for a cat. back, if that is going it can lower mileage. 3. your shifting issue could have a ton to do with this specially if the tranny isnt working properly. post more info and get the tranny looked at maybe?

You are still doing better than me. I have a 2005 base 5 speed manual that I struggle to get 18MPG. This is all city and the AC running most of the time. This is in Honolulu so the cold isn't the issue

My suspension would concur with the others. The winter gas and possible cat issues. Also If you can, avoid the gas that has 10% ethanol in it. While it may be better for the environment, it aint so good with the fuel economy of the Vibe.is there any Rotten-Egg smell from the Exhaust? If So you may need your cat replaced under the TSB. Search "Rotten Egg" and you should find a few threads about it.MY mileage went up after my cat was replaced under the TSB.

Are you driving city or highway?Even though your in PA like I am driving the hills will kill the gas millage. Our AWD system doesn't help either.Even when I stomp it I still get 24-26mpg... in mostly city driving.*shrug*When is the last time you had the transmission fluid changed? When is the last time you change out the front and rear DIFF fluid. your banging and "slope" the play in the awd train could be causing your problem.
