mine did that once as well. I ended up finding the problem was rusted edges of the rear brake drum would fall into the drum.... so as the wheels spin, the chips clang around in the brake drums. 'cleaning' the brakes probably solved the issue.

code comes up the same... but to the P1305 code (ignition circuit malfunction #2) is a note added:(1998-2000 Land cruiser, 200 celica, tundra)weird. I'll check with the dealer tomorrow to thriple-check the part.

so here is the update. Got the new coil and installed no problem ($84+tax)... purrs like a kitten... then on the way back, the engine just killed!With the new coil in the engine it kills at 3000rpm everytime, so I have to make sure I shift before 3000rpm. I know the vibe has a safety feature to kill...

I am also getting misfires on coils 1,2,3 and random misfire code. So will I get a P2300 code if I switch the 'bad' # 1 with #2? Will this be the indicator that #1 is bad?as for when it idles rough... definitely while low rpm with no load. I have not noticed rough idle at high rpm but can definitely...

I was under the impression that the vibes have coil-on plug, so I would have to replace the coils and wires as one package which is expensive? the thermostat could very well be the issue. will this cause extra pressure on the water pump and cause it to fail if I'm running the engine and the coolant cannot flow?I am using 5W30 full synthetic oil (for the first time in it's 5.5yr history actually)
