Pitted headlights...

Does anyone know if there is a way to fix up the pitted headlights of my '03 base vibe. I've heard of plastic buffing compounds and such, but have not heard any success stories using these products on headlight casings. I wanted to replace them, but I really don't have the money for that right now. ...

'03 Base Vibe Coolant

I searched and I know recommendations were given in '07. I have kind of a spin-off question.First, a little background info... I got my '03 Vibe in southern Mississippi and brought it back with me to New York. I'm the second owner; the first owner used it as a fleet vehicle down south. I noticed tha...

Are 14's an option?

I live in Central New York & because of the snow & poor road management, I would like to put 14" steels on my car. Does anyone know if there are any 14" wheels that will work with my 2003 base Vibe? I'm basically looking to pizza cut through the snow this year. Thanks in advance for...

Sirius & other cables - routing question

Hello again GEN-VIBErs...Taking a look at my '03 Base Vibe, I was thinking of a way to run some wires from the back to the front without being seen. I think I have come up with a good way to run everything from my Sirius satt. radio cables to my 2-meter ham and scanner antenna cables, but I don't qu...

Re: What's everyone's favorite tire for the Vibe? (W2ZXN)

Great replies GEN-VIBers!BTW, I'm sorry about posting here instead of tire forum, color me new! And to Mark K2QO, I wonder if you might be able to hit any of the rochester repeaters? Try as I may, I cannot help but hit the 145.11 out there in Rochester and sometimes the 146.655 (although it's usuall...

What's everyone's favorite tire for the Vibe?

I'm just really curious and would like to get some imput on tire choices for all types of weather for Vibe tires.I, myself have the stock 16" rims and I recently purchased Pirelli P4 All-Seasons, which are horrible. They're not good in the snow at all, they're not all that great on any wet pave...

Re: Poor running, but no current error codes (W2ZXN)

Thanks guys for the info, I have not used Techron, so I will pick some up at work (I'm a Wally World receiver - how's that for irony).kunkstyle, in response to your question about why I use dry gas in the summer... It's because I live in central-upstate New York, our summers are usually fairly wet a...

Poor running, but no current error codes

Hello again everyone. Still having issues with my high-idle, but I just make sure to have a few extra bucks for gas and I could really care less. However, recently my vehicle has been running poorly. After my Vibe (03 base - 101K miles) warms up, it stumbles, sounds and feels like it's missing. I ju...

HIGH IDLE --- AGAIN?!

I know this issue has been brought up repeatedly on this forum, but I figure what's one more post? I have 03 BASE and it's constantly idling at a high rate, not just at startup. At startup in the summer, it usually jumps to about 1800 to 1900 RPM for about 6 minutes and then goes down to around 800 ...
