Hello again GEN-VIBErs...Taking a look at my '03 Base Vibe, I was thinking of a way to run some wires from the back to the front without being seen. I think I have come up with a good way to run everything from my Sirius satt. radio cables to my 2-meter ham and scanner antenna cables, but I don't quite know that I can do it.So my questions are this...1) How to you remove the molding that is on the A-pillar on the inside of the car (the slant toward the windshield)?2) Is there some soft or hard but cuttable foam under the A-pillar molding or is it nothing but metal?3) Is this a part that will break easily? Do I need to worry basically? Thanks in advance for any advice that you can offer on this one. This will make me uber-happy if it will work.-Andy W2ZXN
The A Pillar is easy to get off. Get a grip on it, lift upward and pull gently toward you at the same time. It will pop right off. There's nothing behind it but metal and a few wires. lots of room for cables.
