Re: 17" American Racing Type SR (bull77)

OEM for a Vibe GT is 17x7", +45, 215/50/17, 26lbsYou're only 3mm off from "ideal" offset compared to OEM 17" Vibe GT wheels. Here's a comparison between those wheels and the OEM Vibe GT backspacing/offset

Sorry maybe I missed something... how exactly is the current market bad for buyers? It seems like the perfect time to buy.

I don't have M&T, but I have 6 speakers and an amp -- (removed)?

Do I have some strange oddball car? No 6-disc, no nav. Just the base HU, and the upgraded stereo. It's making for a hell of a mess now that i've replaced my HU, and hate the sound. I am looking at bypassing the amp, but I'm worried about the factory tweeters. Anyways has anyone seen this before?

I still haven't gotten the car on the road for various reasons (travel, move, etc). The last time I worked on it, I replaced the master cylinder, bled the entire thing MANY times, with the car on and off, still same problemI made and installed blockoff lines for the master, and tested it with the en...

No fluid leaking out the front left caliper, unfortunately. Leaning strongly towards master cylinder. $50 at a junk yard, can't find a new one, dealer only. Guess i'll give it a shot.

Re: (Sublimewind)

Condensation/brake fluid's affinity for water was my first suspicion, and I did flush it thoroughly. Here's the thing though, that can't be it. Water is not compressable until it becomes a gas (boils)... so even if it were water, it still wouldn't explain why the pedal feel isnt there.I'm leaning st...

Re: Brakes feeling soft (kevera)

Exactly what rubber are you referring to? And this is an 03 GT, so it's four wheel disc. The back calipers definitely aren't leaking, because i spent most of my time working/bleeding them. The front left, i'm not 100% positive.

Brakes feeling soft

K, i've almost gotten to the point of getting my vibe on the road. (been sitting for 2 years). 2003 Vibe GT 6MTI am getting a soft/spongy brake feel with the car turned on. When the car is off, and I pump the brakes, they become firm, with a nice feel. When I turn the car on, and apply the brakes gr...

The mind is a powerful source of psychological trickery. If you want to improve your AC performance, purge your R134a, and fill it with a propane-based refrigerant such as R12A (not to be confused with R12 - freeon). Duracool or Redtek offer this product. A third of the same volume of refrigerant wi...

TSBs are not free. They are advisories sent to techs to repair commonly discovered problems. Not the same as a recall or a secret warranty.

A company called ATPAC in quebec carries a replacement wheel liner for $45 CAN. I highly recommend you give them a call. Also, I just bought a windshield washer bottle with pump and level from Sonshine Auto Parts for $75. Again, I recommend you give your local auto recyclers a call, they probably hav...
