Re: (vintagegz)

Yes vintagegz, that is it exactly. There is nothing there, and then wham! And then when accelerating from a stop, the pedal is too touchy.Dragon64, are the axes of your graph pedal displacement and engine rpms? Or is the horizontal axis time? I'm wondering if it is a DBW lag issue if the engine is r...

jerky acceleration

Does anyone have this problem? When I slow down to less than 10 mph, and then try to accelerate, the RPMs increase immediately, but there is a slight delay before the car accelerates, like the transmission isn't catching right away. When accelerating from a stop, the accelerator pedal seems sensitiv...

Re: transmission whine (joatmon)

Yeah, it's an automatic. If I put it in neutral, and increase RPMs, the sound is not there. That's why I think it's the transmission. It sounds kind of like when you rub something against the outside of a sleeping bag or backpack or ski jacket. But it is continuous. Like one of those old wind sound ...

transmission whine

Anyone have a whiny transmission? Mine (2008) makes a high pitched whine that follows the engine speed. It is starting to bug me.

sunroof not opening all the way

Is it normal for the sunroof to not open completely? Mine only opens until the front edge of the window is about 5cm in front of the fuzzy plastic sliding cover.

Re: ceiling insulation (Herb)

Hey those are great photos of the headliner, Herb. I noticed some narrow strips of insulation in your car too. I don't see the point of these narrow strips, unless they are to prevent the headliner from vibrating against the metal roof.Just to make sure... the sunroof doesn't normally open completel...

ceiling insulation

So I went to close the sunroof the other day, and the interior cover wouldn't close. After inspecting it, and yanking on it, I found that a strip of insulation had got stuck to the interior sunroof cover. The stuff they use to stick the insulation is freakin sticky, made a mess of the sunroof. Now I...

Re: PIE GM12-POD/S iPod and Auxilary Input Adapter (waffleguy4)

I just ordered the Peripheral Electronics PXAMG http://www.peripheralelectroni...x.asp. It looks like it does the same thing as the PIE GM12-POD/S. I had the old version of this device (IPOD2CAR) in my old Vibe and was satisfied with it. This new model displays track information on the stereo screen...

2008 vibe: floor mats w/ no vibe logo, no cargo cover?

My 2006 base Vibe recently got totaled, so I bought a new 2008 (with the sun/sound option). My 2006 had floor mats with the vibe logo on them and it also came with a foldable cover for the cargo area. My new 2008 doesn't have a cargo cover and the mats have no logo. It's no real big deal, as I only ...

Re: only one tweeter?

Looks like I got an extra freebie tweeter. Its kind of strange though. It's a brand new car. I'm bringing it to the dealer though, and see if they'll fix the problem (put in a second tweeter (not take the existing one out)).It makes me wonder what other strange stuff is going on with this car.

Re: only one tweeter?

I don't have a sunroof or moons and toons or anything. Just the base. So did I get an extra tweeter that shouldn't be there, or ought I to have gotten TWO?

only one tweeter?

I have a 2006 base vibe and noticed a tweeter on the small triangle panel on the right door next to the side view mirror. But there is not one on the driver's side. Is there supposed to be one on the driver's side too?

Re: ipod2car clicking noise

I tried different grounding, and different 12V supply. I'm guessing it is due to bad circuit design inside the ipod2car or bad cable shielding. I'm buying a different make to see if that changes anything.http://ipodcarparts.com/pontia...650ecThis one has RCA inputs too, in case I ever ditch my ipod ...

Re: ipod2car clicking noise (jak219)

No luck grounding to chassis.I noticed that the clicking is in sync with the time display. When you press the rcl button, it displays what the radio thinks is the CD play time. The ipod2car sends alternating 1:00, 2:00, 1:00, 2:00, which is right coincident with the clicking sounds. I'm going to try...

Re: ipod2car clicking noise

The only wiring required is a connection to +12V and ground. The rest of the wiring is contained in a harness that plugs into the back of the radio.

ipod2car clicking noise

I installed the ipod2car in my 2006 vibe. It installed easily, and worked great, except if the volume on the car stereo is turned up there is this annoying soft periodic clicking of one click, then three clicks "click; click-click-click; click; click-click-click" . It is more apparent when...
