Re: Recall for Pass Side Airbag

I finally took my 03 GT in last week. I got the passenger side airbag recall and the other airbag recall (where they may deploy randomly and without cause) done at the same time. It took them all day and they did replace the passenger side airbag. The dealer did call in the afternoon to tell me that...

Re: When the time comes what are good replacements for a vib

The plan I am mulling over: Keep my very high mileage '03 GT for occasional fold-down-the-seats hauling, and get a Focus ST for a daily driver.

I've got 178,000+ miles on my 2003 GT. I'm on the original clutch, too!But I gather from another current thread here that jcleugers has a GT that has hit the 299,999 mile odometer limit, so he wins :-P

145,000 miles on my 2003 GT. No real problems... I'm still on my original clutch!Feels like the struts are worn out, but it's kind of expensive to replace them all, so I soldier on with the originals.

Wow, sorry to hear about your engine - I've got a black 2003 GT with 130,000 miles, and everything is fine. I'm on the original clutch and battery (though I should probably replace that soon so I don't get stranded.)I agree with the others - I'm guessing you won't get much for the car, as the vast m...

Have fun with your new ride!I've got an '03 GT with 120,000 miles on it. I'm still on the original clutch and battery. Replaced the brake pads at 90,000 miles, had the rotors ground but still using the orignal rotors.Yes, the paint has horrible durability. On the plastic bumpers as well as the metal...

I've got a 2003 GT - black as well - and at 120,000 miles I'm still on my original clutch and battery. Folks are right, the paint chips easily. Also, I'm not sure if this applies to the 2005s, but there was a recall for the front driver and passenger side window attachment bolts.I've got 17 inch whe...

Re: (Mathias)

Yeah, it seemed to me that the way the vibe was priced became noticeably less favorable after the first couple of years. I bought my 2003 GT with 17-inch wheels and ABS at the tail end of Dec 2002. I got the dealer down to ~ $16900. Then there was a fairly large GM rebate in place of not needing 0% ...

Hi Sunny, LavaMyVibe,Thanks for the advice. I decided to try the Kumho Ecsta ASX tires and finally got them on. I like them. The handling seems pretty good, and road noise is down a bit from my previous set up.Thanks!

Recommend Replacement Tires 215/50/17

My last two original Dunlop 215 50ZR17 tires on my 2003 Vibe GT are pretty much done (68,000 miles!). Can anyone with this tire size recommend some? There's a ton of choices at tirerack.com. I don't think i necessarily need Z rated tires - I'd like decent performance with decent value.Any experience...
