Recommend Replacement Tires 215/50/17

Post by NMR Guy »

My last two original Dunlop 215 50ZR17 tires on my 2003 Vibe GT are pretty much done (68,000 miles!). Can anyone with this tire size recommend some? There's a ton of choices at tirerack.com. I don't think i necessarily need Z rated tires - I'd like decent performance with decent value.Any experiences (good or bad) or advice is appreciated...

I'm partial to Pirellli's myself. The PZero Nero M+S is a fantastic summer performance tire without the cost of the Dunlop. I also hear that for the price, the Avon Tech M550 is a great tire. If you want a good all season tire that performs well in wet & dry, check out the BFGoodrich Traction T/A.

Hi Sunny, LavaMyVibe,Thanks for the advice. I decided to try the Kumho Ecsta ASX tires and finally got them on. I like them. The handling seems pretty good, and road noise is down a bit from my previous set up.Thanks!

Hey NMR, I have Kumho ecsta SPT Tires. So far I like them and the noise is less than the stock ones. Only down side to this tire is that the manufacturer doesn't have a treadlife warranty. I hope they last for a long while.
