Did you use a Toyota or Pontiac catylic converter or an aftermarket? I had my mechanic do an fancy test and he told me the O2 sensors were good, it was the cat. I had the same experience, i.e., it was clear for about 6 months and then came back, but it was because of the Walker cat.

I ordered two new O2 sensors for about $250 total. I assume that replacing both is the way to go. Is that price seem about right? I am going to replace them tomorrow.

Hello,I have the base engine and change my oil about every 3500-4000 miles. I use regular Mobil 5W-30 oil and Super Tech filters from Wal Mart. At $2 they are cheap, but are they OK? I figure that I change it enough that it isn't an issue. Any thoughts?

When I first got the car, I noticed the exact same problem. I had had a Civic and the shifting was much smoother compared to the Vibe. I did get used to it though, and I don't grind the gears any more. I just go slower and don't try to force it in. Hope this helps.

I looked at the GM card website, and the max dollars you can use towards purchase of a Vibe is $1000, not the $2000 you have available.

I had this problem when my car was new. It is the insulation or lack of it, behind the bezel. GM has an insulation kit - it is just foam rubber. Thank you. I just learned that there really is no such thing as lube. My mechanic says he can't remember a modern car that has grease fittings. They are really talking about lubing all the cables, but I am not going to worry about that every 6,000 miles.

I am sorry for not replying. I recommend you take it to the dealer and have them do it. There is a service bulletin for it, I don't know the number. It is a kit but is essentially just padding. Let them do it, don't take the chance of breaking the plastic.

I recommend you take your squeaking dashboard to the dealer. There is a service bulletin for this and they will fix it, they fixed mine.
