You need the PAC OEM adapter from Crutchfield.I had the same problem and putting it in solved it.Ask Crutchfield to give you half off the price because it is required for the radio to function properly.

Re: alpine hu with m&t (J-vibe06)

I put in a Kenwood HU and I spliced a couple of RCAs to the wire harness, and at first it worked and sounded great, but when I skipped tracks, turned it on or off, or change sources, there was a very loud popping sound from the speakers.I think it is because of unbalanced to a balanced amp.Anyway, I...

Kenwood HU installed

I finally got the Kenwood KDC-X692 along with the HD tuner installed to the stock monsoon system.I did have to install a PAC OEM 2 because otherwise there is too much hiss and the volume is very loud at only 6 on the HU vol.The unit sounds great and in Detroit, almost all the radio stations are in H...

Thanks for the reply ragingfish. But the Pioneer has no leads from their harness for tweeters or subwoofer and the same for the body harness. Just for the 4 door speakers.I am thinking the amp then splits the signal to the tweeters and sub.

My 06 with 24k miles just got its PCM replaced. CEL came on and trans shifted very hard. Turn off engine and back on the CEL still on but trans shifting normal.I have a K&N drop in, so I put back the original and the CEL went away. Put back in the K&N but after a week, problem came back. Put...

Guess what I saw on the Price is Right Today ...

If you guessed Vibe, you are right! It was a Salsa with Monotone, abs, power package and auto. The game the guy played was That's Too Much!He missed winning it by not going one more higher. The list price was $19,000 and something.I thought I'd never see one on that show.

Easy to install HU on 06 S&S?

Hi,I am thinking of upgrading the HU on my 06 with sun & sound pkg (monsoon w/ amp & sub) mainly to play mp3s. I am thinking of getting it from Crutchfield mainly because they give you everything you need to install with instructions. My question is has anyone installed a HU from Crutchfield ...

I had a Karcher electric washer before and it will never wash as good as a brush. Plus I always worried about geeting too close and damaging the paint, especially on the painted plastic claddings.

Fastest I've gone is 83 mph, and engine is turning ~3100rpm on an auto. What is rpm on a manual at that speed?Any difference in top speed on a base with no mods between a 5 sp and auto?

Do the top or bottom spoiler actually help keep the rear window clear of spray from rain or snow? On mine w/o either spoiler the back end gets pretty dirty.

Welcome!I got a 06 back on 4/17 and experienced a "hot soak" within a week, since then it has not happened yet and the weather has been about the same. So I am hoping the PCM is a learning one and has adjusted. It's up to you if you want to wait a while before going to dealer.

I think some of these options are for 05 and up, not sure. But I was just wondering how many people have these options that I think are few and far between. I have none of these on my 06.

Long time to start engine?

Hi,I have had my 06 base auto vibe for 2 days now and today after a cold start and driving 6 miles in 65 deg F sunny weather, I stopped at a store for about 15 min. When I got back and tried to start it, it turned over for about 4 sec before it kind of sluggishly started. For a moment I thought it w...

Hi,I am wondering why 04 vibes are rated at 130hp and 06 is at 126hp?I think it is because of the new sae rules on engine hp measurement. Is this true? Thanks.
