The engine seems to labor a little bit more. I also disconnected the battery to reset the CEL. I drove the car about 5 miles after reconnect to see if CEL came back on, it hasn't so far.

Check engine light came on at around 40,000 miles, yesterday. The engine does seem to sound a little different/louder. Does this sound familiar to anyone else? If so what was the outcome?

Has anyone changed there power steering fluid in there 2005 Vibe.The owner's manual calls for Dexron III automatic transmission fluid, which is red. The original color I believe was clear. Anybody know what the correct fluid is?

I have noticed the same thing. Mine dropped about the same as yours.You would think they would tell you this before you switch.

i WANT TO THANK ALL OF YOU THAT GOT YOUR PCM REPLACED.IF YOU COULD JUST LOOK AT YOUR SERVICE RECEIPT FOR THE PART NUMBER IT WOULD BE APPRECIATED. I"M SURE IT WON'T TAKE TO LONG AND WOULD REALLY HELP. I DON'T THINK GM IS GOING TO TAKE THE PART OFF OF YOUR CAR IF YOU TELL ME.

Can you or any body else tell me what the part number of the new pcm is?The local dealer ordered one for me and I want to make sure it is the correct one. The part number should be on your dealer invoice. I have left messages with Josh Farner he doesn't return phone calls.Thanks

Had PCM replaced on my 2005 Vibe on 2/21/2006 problem was still there on 2/22/2006. Waste of time.

I had the PCM replaced on 2/21/2006 for the extended start time problem.It did NOT help my extended crank problem. On 2/22/2006 after a 30 stopover with warm engine I had a 11 second extended start.So I am back to square one.

Did you ever get your PCM replaced? If so how did it go?

New PCM is at the dealership and waiting for me for installation. Will post results.
