Re: (Vibe_dude)

I'll stay with the stock belt to 50,000 miles, then change it. I'll get one now and keep it in the car until then, just in case.

Re: 05 Accessory Drive Belt R/R (Lancer)

Thanks too for the tips Lancer. I have a stock Vibe, not a GT and am thinking about preventative maintenance.

05 Accessory Drive Belt R/R

35,400 miles on the 05 Vibe and was wondering about the scheduled R/R mileage for the Alternator/Air Cond Accessory Belt. I was looking at it and didn't see the tensioner pulley where you could loosen and remove the belt by loosening the pulley. Is R/R'ing this belt a home done deal or is it a Deale...

Re: Adjusting the sweep of rear wiper arm? (Mach2)

Got it. Just slip off the plastic cover at the base of the arm to expose a 10 mm nut, remove nut, lift arm off the splined pivot. rotate arm to the left, slide arm back on the splined pivot and install nut and cover. How bout that.............and no blood either.

Adjusting the sweep of rear wiper arm?

I used the Search function but only came up with rear wiper blade info. The sweep on the rear wiper arm/blade goes too far to the right, so much so that the blade is hitting the trunk door. I want to move the sweep angle further to the left, so the sweep is equal distance from left to right. 2005 Vi...

Re: (PHXLavaVibe)

Traded the 29 for a 68 Camaro Pro Street car. It was bad to the bone. 427, th400 with 4000 stall converter, 9 3/8" Lincoln with DTS soft locker, ran 12 flat with a bad 1.88 60 ft time. Sure was fun. Then something came up, doesn't it always, and sold it back to the guy I traded the 29 with. Her...

Thanks for the get back mcgusto82. I just checked out the Maintenance and Care Forum here and got some good poop. I'll be changing the oil this weekend and getting familiar with it.

A new Vibe owner

Just purchased a 2005 used Vibe. Traded an 02 Toyota Tacoma XCab, 5 speed for this former Enterprise Rental Vibe. It's got most of the "bells & whistles" except for the sun/moon roof. What is the recommended engine oil weight and brand? I'm from Hanford, CA. 35 miles south of Fresno.
