I hauled 1000 satelite remotes for my rather strange brother in law.

Re: The VIBE kicks A$$ in the mountains (pianomansam)

I don't really agree. We drove our vibe to Florida over the Christmas holidays. We took I-75 straight down. We did have 3 people and lugage, but the car really needed another 30 hp or so going thru the mountains. I was able to cruise right along, but kept losing a lot of speed going uphill. Other th...

Re: (NascarXprt)

I'm sorry, but that is one of the funniest stories I have ever heard. I don't have anything that can compare to that, other than the time I had my '03 Dakota QC 4x4 in for service. The dealership gave me a loaner, a bright red k-car. All was fine until something in the dash shorted and that car caug...

Re: (MiVibe-ToolGuy)

I called the dealership today and a few local bodyshops. The dealer wanted 300 canadian for a primed rear bumper skin. It was actually a lot cheaper than I thought it would be. I imagine I will end up going to the dealer and getting the new rear skin rather than trying to save a few pennies and gett...

Re: (silverawd26)

The car in question is an '05 Vibe, it does not have the textured back bumper. It is all abyss black. There is no damage to anything else, just a split. It is located right behind the passenger side back tire. I think it should be repairable, there was no damage to anything else ie. the bumper suppo...

Re: How much for new back bumper?? (scherry2)

LOL, it was my wife that didn't wanna hear that... No really. She was driving home from work today, and a truck crossed the line infront of her. She had so swerve to aviod a head on collision, but in doing so because of the freezing rain the car ended up in a 180 and went (removed) first into an icy...

How much for new back bumper??

Hey guys, I need a quick price for a new back bumper skin for an '05 vibe. Somehow a snowbank attacked the back of the car and left a pretty significant split in the bumper (will post a pic in the morning). It also destroyed the back passenger side wheel liner. Any idea on a price to repair?TIATom

Stupid Rattles and Squeaks Part 2

I fixed the rattle and squeaks in the dash of our vibe. The driver side a-pillar cover was not properly clipped in and the wires behind it were rubbing on it and rattling. The other really bad rattle was the OBD2 port under the dash was not totally secure and it rattled all the time. After addressin...

Well, I pulled the a-pillar cover off, and it DIDNT STOP THE RATTLE. It seems to be somewhere inside the dash.

Stupid Rattles and Squeaks.

We have had the vibe a whopping week now. The plastic that covers the A pillar on the drivers side rattles all the time.. Is there any special way to remove it, or just grab and pull. I can see that it is not installed properly, as the bottom edge does not line up perfectly with the dash. I called t...

Anyone else's lowbeams pathetic??

Tonight was our first night with the new vibe after dark. The low beams were almost dangerous to drive with, they were barely visible more than 35 feet infront of the car. Is it somewhat easy to adjust the lights up, or can anyone recommend a brighter bulb??Tom

LOL, you don't have to be in Alaska for a cold winter. There were a few days last winter with the wind chill that it got down to -52 degrees celcius. That was in North Bay Ontario

Re: Do you feel your Vibe's A/C is deficient? (ColonelPanic)

We just picked up our vibe the other day, but the AC seems awesome. It was almost 30 degree C, and the AC kept it super cold. It was almost as good as my 99 Passat, the AC in that car was cold enough to freeze a side of beef.

Re: New to Genvibe (Mr. Poopypants)

I don't really know what to dofor mods. It is basically going to be my wifes car / fuel effeicent runner vehicle. I was disappointed to hear that supercharging the 05's isn't easy.

New to Genvibe

Hi all, my wife and I just bought a 2005 Vibe. It is the base, and since the car is mainly for her its an auto. Also got the power pack and alloys. Not a bad car at all. I had a pontiac in the past, a '96 Trans Am, and I hope this one is a little more reliable We picked the car up Friday and have ab...

Re: Beavertails Yum! (millster)

LOL, I am so pumped to see someone else knows about these. My dad owns a construction company, and he just built a beaver tails franchise for a family friend. It is in Tobermory Ont. I haven't had one yet, but other people seem to think they are pretty good.
