thought so...anyone know of different switches out there that don't look like the DPDT ones. i just don't like the looks of them, they look too cheesy or something to me, look like a NOS switch..

yeah i read that, but i'm fairly novice at DIY electrical things so i was looking towards an easier option if there's one out there. also trying to steer away from having to put a DPDT switch in my car. it might come to that way though..

frost inside??

had my vibe for a couple months now...and i'm experiencing a weird phenomenon (i think?). well at least it's never happened in any of my other vehicles. i'm located in maine, so i'm getting into the real cold winter temps now (low teens), and when i go out to the car in the morning the outside of th...

Re: XM Roady2 @ Staples $14.99!!! (spoonman)

so i picked up the roady2, at circuit city for 30 bucks. all the staples in my area were sold out for the week, so i took the next best deal. i'm looking to install sometime tomorrow..but one concern already. from my understanding...the fm modulator won't work unless i have good reception on one of ...

this is a heck of a deal! i've been looking into getting xm for a bit now, but still unsure about one thing. i don't have my am/fm radio antenna on my roof because i installed a rack solution that i've placed right over where it was, so it's just the base up there. do you need the regular antenna up...

start in 2nd

so i'm about 2 months into my 03 vibe gt, and getting the hang of the stick has been the biggest task of all. i'm fairly decent at it at this point of course, but there a few things that still bother me. 1 of which is the time between 1st and 2nd. it might just be the way i drive, but when i'm shift...

downshifting...a few ?'s

So I went ahead and purchased an 03 Vibe GT, might regret the premium gas in the coming years as gas looks very grim, but I love the car, and if it gets out of control, trade in. Anywho..here's my problem. It's my first stick shift car, and I've come along pretty well in the learning process I think...

any ideas?

still in the consideration stages of getting a vibe. i was wondering if any of you had any ideas for possible other vehicles..here are my only requirements:1) decent fuel economy. (preferrably in the 30's)2) i need to be able to mount a yakima rack on the top for my surfboards and kayak. the kayak i...

Re: gas outlook....vibe really a good idea? (ragingfish)

only reason i've limited myself to the vibe is because my family owns a GM dealership, and if i act soon, i can pick up the only vibe on the lot for a bit cheaper than a normal customer would. problem is, it's a gt. i could always ask to find a vibe at an auction, but i hate to be a pest.but i didn'...

gas outlook....vibe really a good idea?

still thinking about picking up a vibe. but after katrina i have become very hesitant about gas prices. i know they will die down as winter nears, but in some outlooks i've seen, prices will hold near $3.00 or more in the coming years. would a vibe gt that takes premium gas really be that good of an...

first stick

hey, so i have been practicing on the 2003 Vibe GT. this is my first car with a stick shift. i have driven a 5spd a couple times before, but that was a while back. i seem to be getting the hang of it again, starting off (on flat ground anyway), and once i'm going i shift up fine. i do have a few que...

yes, it would be 4wd because there's really no sense in an suv/truck without 4wd in my opinion..

Re: premium gas? (SinisterMind)

my family owns a dealership and that means discount for me, so there happens to be a Vibe Gt down there, and thats why I am looking at it as opposed to the base. they deal mostly chevy's, chryslers/jeeps, dodges, so who knows when another vibe will come along. so if you were me, deciding between a 1...

premium gas?

hey, i'm looking into buying an '03 Vibe GT. I just found out that this runs on premium gas only. I was wondering how big of a difference this made in cost in general. I am looking at the vibe as opposed to an suv (because im looking for something bigger than my cavalier to carry my surfboards), bec...

Re: moving front rack forward? (binary)

thanks for the reply. i looked at a few pictures of different set ups. they look kinda awkward, but hey, if it works i guess thats what matters right?as far as the antenna, i had a question of whether the actual antenna can just screw off the base temporarily while i have a board up there. (so just ...

moving front rack forward?

hey, i am looking into buying an '03 vibe. i surf longboards (9'8 long) and i don't really want to get into the SUV market because of the poor gas mileage. anyways, my problem is that the front bar of the factory rack is way far back on the roof. there's plenty of space to move it up to support my b...
