Re: Door sound supression (Merzbow)

It's easy to add insulation. If you remove the plastic film that they put on the inner door (you will see it once you remove the door panel), you can stuff material into the door. Removing the door panel is not difficult, there are two screws to take out, one where the door lever is and the other wh...

Door sound supression

I was curious if anyone else has tried putting in sound absorbing material in their doors. I did this recently and I've noticed the difference. I replaced all the speakers in my car and since I had the door panels off, I figured I would also put in some materials to help make the sound more natural ...

Tire and wheel options

Hello! I've had my car now for 1.5 years and have 30000 miles. I figured I should start thinking about what sort of new tires I should purchase when the time comes. But before I did that, I wanted to know what options Vibe owners had. I've looked at the threads posted here and got some good ideas, h...

Re: Are you having Air Conditioner Problems??? (Zero0ne)

I posted this somewhere else I think....anyway, my dealer said this was a know issue. The inner dampers are not closing all the way and are letting hot and cold air mix. Tell your dealer to look it up!!

Re: Air Conditioning Question (Doubull)

I called my dealer yesterday about an unrelated topic and I mentioned the air conditioner not being as cold as it should be. He told me that GM just recently issued a Vibe service notice to the dealerships that if this problem occurs, to check the damper settings in the ducts. Apparently it is a kno...

Re: Seat covers (NSimkins)

Yes, but that doesn't really tell me what they feel like. Depending on how the polyester is made, it can be cloth-like or plastic-like.

Re: Rear cargo carpets (Ryan)

Also, Kmart sells a rubber mat made for SUVs that works fine with the Vibe.

Seat covers

Has anyone seen up close or have the GM seat covers for the Vibe? From the picture I've seen of them, the material looks similar to wind-breaker jacket material. Is the material more cloth-like or plastic like?

Re: power group or moon & tunes ??? (deepvibe)

I got the power package because I hate rolling windows up and down. I didn't realize until after I got it that it came with remote keyless entry. I am spoiled now. As per the moon/tunes package, the price is reasonable for everything you get. I opted out though. Are you really going to use a moon/su...

Re: Question On The Timing Belt (cruizin gt)

I called my Pontiac dealer and they told me that the car has a timing chain. Timing chains are maintenance free and don't need to be replaced (unless by some bad luck it breaks). Replacing timing belts costs around $500. So if you keep your cars a long time like me, you will save at least $1000. Ano...

Re: Rear cargo carpets (Ryan)

I bought a 3x5 rubber bottom carpet at SAM's Club (a carpet probably intended for a doorway). Fits the back perfectly when the seats are down.

Re: Automatic or Stick Shift? (Lori19)

An important consideration in the transmission type is where you live. I live outside of Philadelphia, and definitely don't want to be bothered with all the shifting from slow traffic, stop signs, and lights.

Re: Nissan Murano (ShaneV)

When I heard about this car, I put off buying a new car until I got more info. But when the pricing info leaked ($26,000-33,000) I decided to just get the Vibe.
