Stock axle back with magnaflow mide pipe, will it fit?

How much work would it be to fit up the stock muffler from the axle back with the Magnaflow mid-pipe. Wife hates the magnaflow, tried a different resonator, still too loud for her. I can find a used axle back cheap, so how much work to mate it up (I know I can have the exhaust shop do this with work...

The stock one in 4" round 14" long. I'm going with the 4" round 22" long if it'll fit. Going to check this weekend, then order and get someone to weld it in. Only crappy part is it is not stainless, only aluminized. Oh well if it quites it down I'm all set.

Thanks for the tips, I'll go with the resonator lengthening. Anyone know the part #s? I try searching but I keep coming up with nothing (looking for 24" resonator, will see on the weekend if it'll fit)

Magnaflow too loud

So the wife is not impressed with the sound of the Magnaflow. Any ideas on how to quite it down or replace it. I priced out a new mid-pipe and at almost $500, I can't go that way. Let me know.

So does it actually hurt milage or you just drive harder to hear the nice sound. I just put one on, those exhaust hangers are a PITA. Love the sound, haven't got into lift yet, keep trying but someone always gets in the way.

I had a 94 that I bought in 98. My buddy bought it from me and is still running it today. Runs great, only problem is he had to replace the Tranny, but I don't know if that's a normal problem or not. Plus it had the V6, which had good get up and go.

Yeah that'd be cool. I'll meet up with you when I get it installed. Shoot me an e-mail. I'm on the southside. I'd be interested in your price findings, I've been searching also.

New Mods and questions

So I've just bought the progress rear sway bar and Mangaflow exhaust for my Vibe GT. I'm hoping the exhaust isn't too loud as the wife will kill me (she drives it most of the time). Now my question is come April (and much nicer weather, March sucks), I'm thinking Injen intake. Are the instructions t...

I have the H. Tech springs on my TL, they are great, good handling and not too low (I have to pack the wife and kid in, well that was until we got the Vibe). Overall a great buy. They are supposedly a better spring material (new type of material, I forgot the name), so probably why the price increas...

Re: New 04 Vibe GT Owner (MoonDogg)

Thanks for the info guys, I'll be looking into the Injen CAI. I was thinking a custom Mangaflow for my TL, maybe I'll get the matching catback for the vibe (if it sounds like the borla, I'm all in).I'm going to try and make the Michigan Meet in June, so maybe I'll see some of you there (my in-laws a...

New 04 Vibe GT Owner

Just saying Hi. I knew there would be a forum for Vibes somewhere. Couple of questions:1. Do most or all of the Matrix XRS parts fit the Vibe GT (since they are essentially the same)2. Any recommended first mods.Modding my Acura TL is getting too expensive, so I'll start on my new toy. Thanks.
