Stock axle back with magnaflow mide pipe, will it fit?

How much work would it be to fit up the stock muffler from the axle back with the Magnaflow mid-pipe. Wife hates the magnaflow, tried a different resonator, still too loud for her. I can find a used axle back cheap, so how much work to mate it up (I know I can have the exhaust shop do this with work on the OEM connector to match up, just wondering how much work). Thanks
