New Mods and questions

Post by Indy VibeGT »

So I've just bought the progress rear sway bar and Mangaflow exhaust for my Vibe GT. I'm hoping the exhaust isn't too loud as the wife will kill me (she drives it most of the time). Now my question is come April (and much nicer weather, March sucks), I'm thinking Injen intake. Are the instructions that bad or is it a not so hard install (I've done lots of mods to my TL including intake, so i have some knowledge). Also, did you get Progess stickers with your sway bar? My Neuspeed sways for the TL came with Neuspeed logos on them, the progress came with nothing. What's the point of having aftermarket goodies if no one sees the name (only on the part itself mind you). Thanks.

I found removing the front fascia was the easiest way to install it. I knew NOTHING abotu cars before the Vibe. Not even how to check my oil. Now I've done more than I care to admit to. If I could get that install done, you sure as heck can with your prior experience. Quote »Also, did you get Progess stickers with your sway bar? Thanks.Never got a sway bar (on the to-do list), but most companies, if you drop them an e-mail or, the really cheap ones, send them a SASE, they'll mail you sticker. I know Injen does that...
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!

The intake wasn't too hard to install, my Dad and I installed it in about 1.5 hours or so. We didn't take the front bumper off like it said too. Just the battery and the left side air dam to get the filter on.

Hey another new Indiana member. Welcome to Genvibe! I'm also interested in the Mangaflow exhaust for my 03 GT. I've never heard one on the GT before. Maybe I can meet up with ya and have a listen to yours before buying one myself... Ever get up to Lafayette area? Did you look in the box for the progress sway bar? I believe that the new black ones have a silver sticker that you have to put on yourself. Rob

Gotta match you know. Going with the same here. Wonder if we can get a group buy on those Injen parts? I've did the searching for the cheapest place to buy those parts. If your interested in what I've found let me know. I can look for them again. My computer crashed the other day and I lost all my saved sites but I think I can find them easily enough again.

Yeah that'd be cool. I'll meet up with you when I get it installed. Shoot me an e-mail. I'm on the southside. I'd be interested in your price findings, I've been searching also.
