Re: (Mase)

Late last week I saw and drove the new Chevy Cobalt SS Supercharged coupe, and was very impressed! It was Silver with a BIG rear wing (that made it very hard to ID the car behind you). Excellent seats, very nice short-throw shifter, great exhaust note, gorgeous 18" wheels (I'd love a set like t...

Re: (B-dog)

Well, HEY NOW! I unscrewed the shift knob, lifted up the bezel around the boot, somehow reinserted the boot in the edge of the bezel, press-fit everything back in there, and lo and behold, the thing looks like a new car again! How the hell did I do it!? Anyway, I don't want a medal or cookie or anyt...

Re: (Train)

Why is it that my bezel around the shifter is always popping up a bit, and why can't I seem to get the boot back on correctly? Aside from my being a mechanical mental midget, does anyone else run into this? It's pretty annoying, but it's the only item like that in the interior (i.e., one that doesn'...

Re: GT transmission problems (goodvibe)

On a related (somewhat) item, have any of you found that it is REALLY easy to shift your GT without using the clutch at all? I've only had my (used 2003) car for a couple of months, and recently tried to shift without the clutch (a good thing to know how to do, just don't do it all of the time). It ...

I've got an all-gray 18 pound cat named Stirling Moss Goldberg. We had a Siamese Fighting fish named Yul Brenner that Stirling always tried to "get out of his tank". But Brenner died right before we moved from Atlanta to Saint Louis. That fish had soul, y'all! He'd get all puffed up if you...

Hey there. On a previous vehicle (1993 Mazda Miata) I had a set of FIAMM air horns, and I'd go with air horns on the Vibe, too - Hella or FIAMM, take your pick. I got them because some near-deaf Octagenarian backed up into my front bumper (no damage, thankfully) at a bank drive-through (why she was ...

Hey y'all! I just got my2003 Vibe GT on 1/21/2005. Traded in my 2003 Honda Civic Si for her. I live in between Creve Coeur, Chesterfield and Maryland Heights. So far, aside from a blowout on the way home (stay away from "Defender" tires!) I am going to enjoy this ride. Wave if you see me, ...
