Thanks for the response everyone... So to recap, the sway bar does not need bushings, and the thicker portion of the bolt hole should go on the bottom (effectively allowing the horizontal bar to be a bit above the middle when mounted). I'll take pictures once its mounted.
A question for those in the know, I recently bought a Progress rear anti-sway bar from Neverenuf... the bar came by itself as one cast metal unit, but with no rubber bushings for the mounts. Is this right? I am a complete newbie at this, and do not know if I need to purchasing rubber washers/bushing...
This is a total newbie question. I am the proud owner of a 2004 Vibe with the base Delco stereo. Having been wanting to upgrade to a nicer unit which is IPOD friendly or at least MP3 capable. However, unlike my old-skool Audi 4000 in from the mid-80s, the stereo enclosure isn't the "standard&qu...

Thanks for the picture and advice, much appreciated! Here are two pictures of the "repaired" rail, showing the same area... as you call tell, the repair fore and aft of the buckled area is not properly aligned.
I am in British Columbia, Canada, and all of our insurance is purchased through a "public" company operated by the provincial government.... Unlike being in the US, we have no choice but to buy from this one company.
need a small favor to ask of the forum.... I recently was involving in a rear end collision, where the SUV travelling behind me crashed into my Vibe, as I was waiting to turn left. Anyhow, to make a long story short, there was extensive damage to the rear bumper, bumper brackets, bumber bar AND crum...
Very good advice, and thanks for the info about Mobil-1...guess it is time for me to make a trip to the local automotive supplies store....can you forward me the link to the BITOG forum? I am unfamiliar with that site...
I think there may be a difference in the filters... I was told by a factory Toyota mechanic that due to difference in the optimal oil pressure in the two engines, the longer filter is designed to handle flow at a higher pressurized rate. While it will also fit a base engine, the danger is that the b...
Sorry, you are right, the factory tires on my vibe are 205/55/R16I have 16" steelies, will the existing nuts fit for the 15" steelies? any advice on a good brand/model of tires for the 195/65/15 snow tires?
Alright, this one's kind of an odd request... We have two cars in our household, a 2003 corolla and a 2004 Vibe... I bought the vibe partly to "standardize" the repair/parts purchase on the two cars (i.e. same filters, strut bars, sway bars, tranny fluids, engine parts, etc).WHile the two ...
Yup, I'm from Vancouver...where sadly, the Matrixes outnumber the Vibes 3 to 1... oh well... There MUST be more BC owners on this forum... Anyone up for organizing a meet in Vancouver?
Alright, I'm a bit confused about this one... I've been taught that one should always warm up the car for "a couple of minutes" in the morning in the winter, and in the past, I have always warmed up my cars for about 5 minutes before driving off... When I bought the Vibe some 5 months ago,...
If you review NHTSA's pages carefully, you will noted that the 2003-04 models tested were models with SIDE-AIRBAGS standard... in contrast, the 2005 model tested was a base model without side airbags... I don't think the decontentization of the 2005 model extended to the materials used for the door...
Does anyone know where i can source a ONE-PIECE TRD Strut tower bar? I live in Vancouver, Canada, and am having alot of difficulties trying to locate the TRD ONE-PIECE strut tower bar for my Pontiac Vibe... I would want a one-piece design unit, and not the non-functional three-piece junk which is so...
