Re: Where can I get a legit battery tray?

http://www.gmpartsdirect.com has all the parts new, but it could get pricey if you need everything. I just searched for battery tray under 2003 Vibe. Tray #2 is like $20, and the brackets # 5 and 6 are like $11 and $5. If you need #3 & 4, they are another $13 and $15. http://www.trademotion.com...

Where can I get a legit battery tray?

My girlfriend owns a 2003 Pontiac Vibe. I changed her battery the other day and noticed the battery was just sitting on top of an old piece of metal with no tie down at all. I went to AutoZone and bought one of those universal battery trays with tie downs. Tried to install it today and the thing is ...

Re: Battery problem - please help

You do have to cut some length off the cable to install a new terminal. Not sure how much extra there is to work with. Another thing. There is not much slack at all with the negative or positive terminal wires. I doubt I could get away with cutting off the old ones and even stripping an inch or two...

Re: Battery problem - please help

It seems to run around the engine and connect somewhere under the radiator. Anyways, please see below f...

Re: Battery problem - please help

First, I appreciate your help and your advice. I do not have a battery volt tester but I should get one as soon as possible. Regardless of that I figured it was time for a new battery anyways since we got the car 2 1/2 years ago and it has always had the same old looking battery in it. After all, it...

Re: Battery problem - please help

You mentioned cleaning the negative terminal but you didn't say anything about cleaning the positive. Is the negative terminal usually the problem when a battery won't start the car? Because to be honest when I lifted up the hood, the only terminal that was corroded (and when I say corroded I mean t...

Battery problem - please help

2003 Pontiac Vibe Base My gf and I went on a weekend vacation. When we got back her car would not start. None of the dash lights would come on. Nothing at all, no clicking, just nothing. I popped the hood and found that her positive terminal on her battery was covered with thick corrosion. I used a ...
