Re: Do 2003 and 2004 Pontiac Vibe base have the same speedometer wire?

Joatmon,

Thank you for your reply. It is clear for me know. I just find many sales on eBay said 04-08 Vibe or Toyota Matrix speedometer with the part number: 83800-01180-00 and not sure if I am right.
I personally like white and red more than all red. I may buy a 2004 USA speedometer and try.

Do 2003 and 2004 Pontiac Vibe base have the same speedometer wire?

My 2003 Pontiac Vibe Base have problem of the gauges. It seems the bad connection of the circuit connector and it is not the problem of fuses and the dimmer. I went to a GM dealer and they suggest to replace the cluster. I checked the model number of my cluster is 83800-01110-00 and trying to find a...

Re: dashboard does not work

Thanks MacGyver, the video is pretty helpful. I will try to do it in the weekend. SeattleJeremy, The dealer said the part (not the cluster, they removed the cluster and wrote done the part #) is $4xx. They will need additional $190 for labor if I want to change it the next time I go. Umm....based on...

dashboard does not work

My 2003 Vibe does not show all the meters on dashboard except the engine check, door-close and break. Thus, I cannot see my speed, mileage, RPM, fuel...etc (see the attached). I went to local GMC dealer and they check the cluster but cannot find the problem. They finally unplug the cluster and replug...

Re: fuel door for 2003 vibe

Thanks Iannvouivre, Thanks for your reply. I tried a couple days but not find the part on ebay. I tried Craigslists, too but the same result. Are there any other car use the same fuel door? I restart the car after 10 min later but it has no response. No any light on and no starting noise. I asked my roommate jum...

fuel door for 2003 vibe

Hi, I have an 2003 Vibe. The fuel door hinge just rusted broken. I called local Pontiac service and got an unbelievable price of that part (the gas tank door). $200. I have no idea why it is so expansive. I find some discussions said that Matrix's fuel door is different from Vibe's. Do anyone know a...

Re: the front link pins?

Hi evertone, just update the condition. I has order the Michelin Defender and will change the tires on Wed or Thur. I will update after I use them for a period. For the serpentine belt, I bought a 12-point 17mm-19mm wrench. The 17mm seems work but has a little big. It seems 6-point 17mm wrench is go...

Re: what not to do when you change your serpentine belt

Thanks Wrench: the step-by-step list is very clear. I just have a question. I am trying to change my 2003 base Vibe's serpentine belt. However, I am a little confuse on the size of wrench I need have. Some website said "15mm" wrench. I tried and it is too small. I bought a 12-point 17-19mm...

Re: the front link pins?

correct my previous answer. I bought a 15mm wrench but it is too small for the tensioner screw. I found another website said it is 17mm. I will try and see if it is fit. I finally decide to change my tires for Michelin Defender. It is a new tire but seems good dry/wet control and long-life although ...

Hi,

I only want to change my serpentine belt and want to ask. do you know what size of wrench I should use to loose the tensioner screw?
I google and find some webpage said 15mm, I bought one but find it is too small. Is it 17mm or 19mm?

Re: the front link pins?

jut find the answer of my first question. It is 15mm screw driver. Why I ask about the alignment is that I never did that when I replace my tires in the past ten years. I am not sure if it necessary. I just checked my front sway bar links, They both looks good. Anyone know how to evaluate if they ne...
