Re: Refinishing OEM aluminum rims

I refinished my '07s alloy wheels about 2yrs ago. I jacked up one side at a time and removed wheels. Popped out center caps. Taped around rim and taped paper to cover the wheels. You can use a small paint scraper to scrape the chips and bubbles in finish. Be careful, the aluminum is kinda soft, it s...

Painted Wheels

P1020984 (Medium).JPG Painted my alloy wheels because they were bubbling [corrosion underneath paint]. Used rustoleum primer, high performance wheel paint, and clear coat. Two coats for each. Came out pretty good. Much better than it was. Took alot of scraping and sanding and taping but only cost a...

Very slight delayed engagement when cold.

When I back out of the driveway in the morning and then put the car in drive, I feel a very slight nudge almost from the transmission [auto]. Then it runs fine from then on. Don't notice it when it's warm. Just wondering if it's normal. It's a 2007 with 52,000 mi. Thanks.

Paint code for alloy wheels

Does anybody know the paint code for the optional alloy wheels on a 2007. They are painted [maybe powdercoated] but have bubbled up in a few places. Want to touch them up at least temporarily but can't seem to find the exact color for them. Thanks.

Paint code for wheels

Does anybody happen to know or where I can find the paint code for the alloy wheels on a 2007. Have a few spots I'd like to touch up. I know they're factory painted but can find a code for them. Thanks.

Thanks to all. Got a few pics. Couldn't attach more than 1 picture. How do you fix that?

Finally got one.

Just got a 2007 Vibe after looking for some time. It's moonstone. Has premium sound system, electric moon roof, and a few other options. 51,000 mi. one owner. Paid $9,900 from a dealer. Not really a bad price for around here. Believe me I've been looking. Anyway, now I'm in the loop of you Vibe owne...

Re: new member but no new vibe yet (kostby)

Thanks for all your opinions. I won't let the premium sound system make or break the deal. It'll just be a bonus if I get one. I'll be back when I get the Vibe. This seems like a good place to find answers about the car.

new member but no new vibe yet

Still looking for a vibe. Prefer the old style 2003-20008 but would consider 2009 and 2010. One question. Having lived with a crappy sound system in my car for about 10 years I was wondering if there is a big difference between the standard audio sound system in the vibe and the premium sound system...
