Re: Battery (Mavrik)

"GM does not see a fully charged 310CCA battery to be defective if the car does not start well or at all in the cold."Like I said before; if the car is not suitable for its intended purpose (i.e. driven in a COLD weather climate, as much of North America is), it should not be sold here. If...

To be fair, though, it's not about the battery; it's about paying 15 thousand or so for a car that is unreliable as sold (cold starting, anyway), and the callous attitude towards their customers by GM!

My wife had only owned her Vibe for a week or two when we went away for a few days, came back, and the car wouldn't start until I charged the battery. I thought maybe we had left a door open or something, then I read that after 20 minutes, any interior lights etc. will shut down to save the battery,...

The 560 cca battery the dealer just installed in my car is indeed a 6 yr. battery.

I went away on vacation for a few days, and when we came back, the Vibe had a dead dead dead battery (hadn't been touched in 4 days, nothing left on; this is a three week old car with less than 1000 kms on it). It wouldn't start with a boost. I had to use my own charger and charge it for a few hours...

Two months later, I've emailed the company 3 times, and no response; it's as if they just ignore all complaints and cash the cheque. I'm in the process of having them investigated by the credit card company, since what they are selling (info) is junk.

Re: Invoice price (ragingfish)

I purchased the invoice info from carquotes.ca. The MSRP in the info they gave me was off $200; obviously out of date. So I emailed them, asking if the MSRP was out of date, how could I be confident any of the other info was correct? Almost 3 weeks and three emails later, I have yet to see a respons...

My wife decided NOW was the time to buy her new Vibe, simply because she doesn't like the new front end (I agree). We both like the sportier look of the 04.

I tried that part # yesterday, and the dealer said 'nope'. I assumed it was because I'm in Canada trying to use a US part #, but maybe not.

We've owned our Vibe one week today also. Surprisingly, despite what I've been reading about the stereo system, we are quite pleased with the sound out of our stock system. I guess we have lower expectations :-)I love the 'chair-like' seating position. So far, I haven't found anything I really don't...

Re: (ragingfish)

I brought this up at the dealership when I bought my vibe a few days ago. I wanted it replaced before I bought the car, so I didn't have trouble later. The dealership didn't even know about the TSB until I told them. I was told they havent' had problems with any Vibe batteries yet. They said the TSB...

Yeah, I can't wait to get some nice tint on the windows; not to mention a hood protector and mud guards (I hear they're now available for the '04s!).Is there something from GM to put along the door edge, to prevent scratches to the edge of the doors?

The wife and I picked up the new Frosty Vibe tonight; we are both very impressed with the car, and love everything about it. The ride is far peppier with the manual than the auto; it's actually a pretty fun little car to drive with a 5 speed!

Re: Got mine! (jake75)

I'm not sure if this dealer will sell my trade or not; it's a seven year old Lumina, and needs some repainting on the rockers, but otherwise OK. I asked for a reasonable price, he talked me down 500, but with the tax differential I figure I got about the same as I would have gotten selling it privat...

Got mine!

Just ordered it...it's a colour the dealer didn't have so it'll be a few days (Frosty with 5 speed and NO options, just the base vibe). The only options I've purchased are the rear bumper protector and rear cargo mat. That's it...and that's the way I wanted it!!! We went with the 2004, because my wi...

Re: Invoice price (ragingfish)

I need invoice, not MSRP. Dealer cost. Maybe I'm using the wrong terminology. I'm assuming there is a website that will (if even for a fee) give me dealer cost on a car. Thanks anyway.

Are you kidding me...you like racing on the roads, but tailgating is too dangerous? LOLI don't mind when people who like to race on the streets die...it's their own dumbass fault. I just dislike my insurance rates going up because of it...and the innocent victims they take with them.

Hi. I'm new to this forum; my wife and I are looking at buying a new Vibe (base, stick, she likes the charcoal...not sure what GM calls it...no options) and would like to know what sort of incentives I should be looking for.
