Re: (mcgusto82)

I hardly think 31mpg is bad milage. Re: Rattle after catalytic converter replaced. (renik)

Well I brought my car in yesterday for the same problem. The mechanic took a drive with me and agreed that there was something wrong. As it turns out they did not put an exhaust seal on the coverter . They said it didnt come in the box with the cat so they didnt put it on. They ordered the part and ...

Rattle after catalytic converter replaced.

Hi there, I just recently had my catalytic converter replaced on Jan. 6. Ever since then i have had an anoying rattle . It's hard to located but it seems to be coming from the front passenger side. After driving the car for a few minutes you start to hearing an annoying squeel; like nails on a chalk...

Re: (UndaCuva)

I have a 2004 base vibe with automatic and I find the gas milage to be extremely viotile. I have been to both extremes. The lowest milage I have gotten has be 15 mpg. Yes I said 15 mpg. Mind you that was when the car was brand new in -30 C weather. I have also gotten 35 mpg while highway driving in ...

Front windsheild sprayer

I was just wondering if the front windshelid sprayers are supposed to spray 6 solid streams of fluid on the windsheild. Its like there are 6 powerfull waterguns shooting at the windsheild. A lot of washer fluid comes out but it does not seem to clean the window properly. If this is normal, is there ...

Re: Gas Mileage? (TRD4reel)

I'm in the same boat you are. I've had my vibe for 5 months now. My overall gas milage over that time is 22.37 US mpg. Mind you it is slowly breaking in. As of lately I've been getting 25-28 mpg. Never have hit 30 .

In the last month and a half I have gotten two of those marks. One on the front passenger side and one on the rear passenger side. People just don't care about hitting someones car.

Bad day for my families vechiles

I just got home this afternoon when I heard my Mom hit a parked car with my Dad's '99 GMC Serria truck. It left a large dent near the right wheel well but did not do much damage to the other vechile. My Mom felt pretty bad as Dad and I start making fun of the situation. A little while later a neighb...

Re: Is this normal? (renik)

I just took my car in for an oil change. While I was there I told the advisor that im getting poor mileage. He asked what I was getting per tank and I said around 350-400km. They seemed to take it serious as they tested the car right in front of me with a computer. They said it seemed normal but the...

Re: MPG for the automatic (red)

I'm glad to here that some people are getting as bad milage as me. I know I only have 2500km on my car but I've been averaging about 20.5 mpg(US). My high was 28mpg and that was 100% highway. My low has be 15 MPG. I'm hoping this will improve.

Just filled up the tank yesterday. My milage improved significantly from my last tank, but still not what it should be. In combined driving I got 20.77 US MPG. Hopefully im on the right track here.

Re: Is this normal? (DavidPIL)

Yes you are confused. If you read my second post it says the odometer is in KM. I converted the l/100km to mpg by using the conversion tool at: http://www.pege.org/fuel/convert.htm.

Re: Is this normal? (Salsa!)

Yes I know I was using the US MPG. I used that because that's what most people use on this board. I'm not comparing it to the Can MPG (MPIG). The vibe is rated for 28 MPG city, or 34 MPIG city. Either way I am still a good 10mpg under the rated capacity.

Re: Is this normal? (Salsa!)

I keep close track of my fill-ups. I always fill the tank up. When the pump clicks off I round up to the nearest dollar. I know this will effect the stats a bit but only by maybe 1 mpg. Here's the breakdown. The odometer is in Km:DateOdometerLitres Prev.Odom. L/100Km MPG1/11/200452733.052280 13.38 1...

Is this normal?

I recently bought a new vibe at the end of december. Ever since I got it I have been getting brutal gas milage. I do understand that it has been very cold here lately and that brand new cars dont get good milage, but is it normal to be over 10mpg below the rated fuel economy? I have been mostly city...

Re: Interior Dash display colour (trdvibe)

Personally I love the 2004 dash lights. I've been use to driving my parents 1994 Bonneville which had the red lights and going to the Vibe is very refreshing. It does make the guages much easier to read at night.

Yeah I'm dealing with Condies. I should say that Condies had 15 vibes last week but have less than 10 now. There are only 2 vibes there with the options I want but they are both Frosty white. That is the last colour that I would want. It seems as though the Safety & Security package is pretty ra...

AWD Vibe

Hi all,I have recently decided that I'm going to buy a Vibe, just not sure which model yet. I was wondering what other people's opinion on the AWD version is.
