I guess I will answer my own question here, Had Cat changed to a OEM spec sprial spun Cat Magna Flow Part#54956 There are many other options but a cheap welded unit that costs under 100$ will not last very long. this one cost 125, not sure if this will help anyone.

I am sure I am right but there is a difference between the base 1zz and 2zz exhaust systems, I do not believe there is a pre cat on the 2zz (GT) model, I am have a tough time finding a aftermarket universal cat for my 2003 GT. Correct me if i am wrong but i get a 2.5" pipe from the manifold to ...

What was the process in changing the seal. Do you have a drawing or exploded view drawing or know where I could get one. I am having the exact same problem as you had, this is the second time around for me. Dealer changed it under warrenty last time.

Just wanted to let you know that I made my second trip to Saskatchewan and back and the vibe ran flawless. Gas Mileage was great. The car now has 80,000km and the only problem i have had is that the air conditioner was dead when I picked the vibe up after purchase.

Had my new tires installed the other day.....Goodyear Assurance Triple treads. I have done the oil changes and filters but the brake service, power steering flush, injector cleaning.....they try to scare you to get this stuff done....in my mind its a joke....the brake service is the biggest scam going. 70,000km on my clutch, has had some good work as my wifr learned to drive stick on this car. So seeing the her handy work first hand i would say that the clutch has held up very well. Just wondering if this is true, I ask someone I know who is a sales associate for toyota and he said that GM has changed parts in the vibe i guess to cut costs, thus the 05 vibe and 05 have different parts in them....the 03 vibe and 03 matrix were identical.any truth to this?

from my experience so far the gm service guys have very little knowledge on the vibe, I found this out in the first week I had the car. After that I said to myself that I am going to to GM for warrenty work and toyota for something that I have to pay for.

good thing you did not get a 2003.......they are lemons....I almost bought a 2003 vue when I bought my vibe.......very glad I did not buy a 2003........2004 are much better...interior and quality....I am thinking of buying a vue for our second vehicle......good choice
