Re: Griding sound in reverse gear (Sub-Vibe-R)

I may be wrong but I think its because there are no synchros for the reverse gear

Re: a warranty issue (meathead333)

When I had my 98 T/A (which was made in Canada) and I needed warranty work there was no problems. As long as it says Pontiac on it and is under warranty it should'nt matter what country it was made in.

Re: Borla cat-back installed (lordyogi)

I like my TRD exhaust, it has a good deep roar to it and a perfect sized tip thats not overly big. Sure it is a little expensive but it is very high quality, and I did notice a power increase with it.

Re: Exhaust System Noise? (murali)

The Vibe is a very noisy car, wait untill you have a few thousand miles on it, thats when the interior starts to make all kinds of noise. Remember this is a "$20,000 economy car" not a Cadilac. If its a high pitched whine it will be the fuel pump.

I have it, it came with the TRD exhaust! Actually it's more of a polished stainless steel but still looks good and sounds even better.

Re: gearbox whine? (Admin II)

Had it checked out today, was told there was too much fluid( almost 1 quart!) They put correct level in and took it on a test ride, problem seems to be fixed. Got no explanation on why there was too much fluid in it, my guess is the little robot got carried away.

gearbox whine?

Does anybody else experience this? I only hear it when in 4-6 gear. When I let off the gas it quiets down, on the gas gets louder. I know we don't have alot of insulation in these cars, but it seems quite loud. I was just wondering if this might be normal or if I should have it checked out.( don't w...

Re: What is up with TRD? (MiamiVibe)

All I know is that the exhaust fits perfectly and the air filter dropped right in. Don't bother asking them, just post a question on this board and everyone will be more than happy to give you the true and correct answer.

Re: Snow Tires (Ben)

I got the winter tire package from tirerack, it came with 16 inch steel rims and 205/55-16 Bridgestone Blizzak ws-50's. The price was about $600, this included shipping, mounting and balancing and even a new set of lug nuts. It only took about 3 days to get also.

Re: NO Supercharger from TRD I call them (DVDvibe)

I would be very surprised if a company decided to make a supercharger or turbo for the 2zz-ge engine, its very hard and risky to run forced induction on a STOCK high compression motor. The rods, pistons, and valve train don't like that very much.

Re: Aftermarket Parts (old man winter)

I have the TRD exhaust and it fits perfectly. The whole install time took around 30 min.(this included digging out my ramps to get the back end up in the air) The sound is awesome and it looks great! I would recomend it to anyone who was thinking of getting it.

Isn't that port for the engine cpu, I dont think the navigation system would use the same cpu.The engine cpu to my knowlege just takes care of the OBD-II functions.

Today I got the carbon-fiber overlays, very easy to put on and WOW it really makes a difference.I got a front one, a back one, and the wheel ones.( pontiac symbols only) The carbon-fiber really goes good with neptune, I would recomend them if you want to add a little something different to your car....

I was at the dealer today and they quoted me around $700, and 2 days. Its a little more than the mono-tone option ($500). I'm thinking of going for it, my GT is blue and I think it being all the same color would look kick-ass

Re: Can you paint the bottom to make it monotone? (fritzburg)

Or we could just wait for someone to come out with the gtr body kit. APC already has one for the Matrix,I would hope to see one for the Vibe soon, but like all the other parts that come out for these cars we have to wonder if it will work with the Vibe.

Question on TRD parts.

I read that the exhaust will fit the vibe but will other parts such as the lowering springs fit? I know it seems like a dumb question but I would like to be sure before I make an order. Thanks in advance!
