Re: rear defroster switch (ColonelPanic)

My switch sticks too, if I push it gently. On my remote starter I have the black wire hooked up on a "ground when running" basis, so the rear defrost comes on when ever I remote start the vehicle. No ugly paper sticking out of the button.

Why did you chose to put the fuse under the wheel cover? In most installs, if not all, it is recommended to fuse the power wire within 18 inches of the battery. Lets assume that the wire shorts out between the fuse holder and the battery, somehow. Well if you don't have a fuse under the hood your ca...

Supercharger price quote

My dealer just got back to me about the price of the SC. $7500.00 CD.What a joke. If I can get it for 2300-2500 in the states, I might as well drive down and buy it.Just thought I would let you all know.

Any Canadians get a price quote yet. I went to a Pontiac dealer here and he wouldn't even bother to look it up for me. He told me it didn't exist. Nice, eh?

Re: Eibach Sportline lowering springs (drummerdude)

I just installed my sportline springs on Sunday. The whole install took 3 hours, but we weren't exactly rushing. The car looks great, and handles good to. I have noticed that I am bouncing in my seat more to compensate for the car not bouncing as much (if that makes sense). I am very happy, but I th...

I have found that is a common problem with all the manual transmission cars that I drive. Someone told me once that for your forward gears the trans. has SYNCROS that help the trans. fall into place, but they dont have them for the reverse gear.

I kept my stock deck for the low theft risk. I added my old Rockford amp and 2 JL Audio 12" in a ported box. I thought the stereo sounded very good for a stock system before. I had all the gear in my truck before and I missed it so I moved it into the Vibe. BASS=RATTLES My rear view mirror drop...

Re: sub and amp install (Sub-Vibe-R)

That is a slick install. I don't know about mounting the amp upside down though. The heatsink is in the other side and last I checked heat still rises. If you are that confident in the amp then so-be-it. Neither me nor any of my other guys in my shop would mount an amp upside down. Is it secured to ...

I remembered one more thing. Have any of you tried to lock your doors, with the door open and your key in the ignition? I haven't tried in a while but I think the door will unlock itself. It is the same thing in most Toyotas.

Re: My only Vibe annoyance (Cubanpete)

I haven't used my stock remote keyless in since 2 days after I bought the Vibe, I installed my remote car starter and I use that for keyless entry now. I don't remember if you press the lock button a second time doesn't the horn honk to confirm locking. Maybe only on the Vibes with factory security?...

maybe take some step by step pics if you could. definately before and after. I want to do the springs too, but I am an eibach dealer so I will go with them. Is 1.8/2.1 too low for stock rims, or will it look good?

Re: Aux/Line level input into standard CD radio? (cohocarl)

At my work we carry Metra, and they used to have adapters that would link stock radios with aftermarket changers, using the stock buttons. A while ago it was Rockford Fosgate that was adaptable to GM radios. I don't know if this is still the case.
