Ground loop crackeling speakers (removed)

Post by shocker sf »

some time not all the time i get a crackeling noise over my speakers, it happens when the car shifts or when i tuen on an acc like the ac. And some times its that Dreded GM buzz that happens under accerlation the fake turbo noise. I know i have to take the radio out ( pioneer Deh-p850mp) because some of the wires have worked their way down and have become entangled in the climent control system ( turn the knob to hot and the rado is pulled down a bit from the back).IM going to remove the radio and solder all the wires so while im at it should i make the ground lead longer and find a seperate ground spot beside the one thats in the harness?Would fidning a different gound emiliate the ground noise

Do you have any amplifiers? Any accessories attatched to the radio? (Aux in, XM tuner, etc) If you're grounded to the harness, you should be fine. Your problem sounds like there's something VERY loose. How is everything connected now? Soldier? Quick-connects?
