Concern about engine idle when I start the car

When I start my Vibe.....and lately its been cold 10c the engine revs to about 2000 and after a couple of mins. drop to around 850.has anyone had the same problem or should go visit my dealer?Thanks

It's not a problem. Normal operation for these engines. See:http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id ... d=1238Mine idles that way initially when the engine is cold and will remain there for a certain period of time, depending on the outside temperature.

thanks for the help.....I just found it wierd because my sunfire never did this (2.2 liter).but now i won't worry so much about because i'm not alone
