This past weekend I purchased a pair of Pioneer 3 way 6 1/2" speakers for my rear doors. They sound great. A hell of a lot better than the stock speakers. As we all know an upgraded stereo system is always a good thing. BUT what had striked my fancy, nibbled my bit, tweaked my tweeter, whatever the phrase may be, something wasn't right. After the install I collected the 2 stock speakers and put them on my work table. One was bigger than the other!!! I had a Hungarian Speaker the was 22 watts and change and a Mexican speaker that was somewhere in the 17 watt range. I'm not really sure what to think about it. I'm not complaining about it because I did change them, but i am just curious to know if any of you other Vibers have had this same mismatched pair of rear speakers? Untill next time. Rob

If it was a -new- car, yeah, i'd be VERY amazed to see different speakers in it from Left / Right. Front / back is different. That's odd.. Was it new, or used?

I bought it brand new on march of 03. What are the speaker ratings for the moon and tunes package? I'm thinking one could have been from that bin and one from the regular bin.

M&T speakers are 2 Ohm. Most likely you would've had a SEVERE difference in sound quality from the two speakers if you had a M&T speaker. It might've slid over from another assembly line...they do build a few different cars there, I think

See this is the thing, I never noticed a difference between the two at all, after all, it was a brand new car, I would have no reason to think that they would be different so I wasn't being a technical listener. but I am happy with what I have now!

I have the Pioneer 6.5 4-ways. Those sound great. I love these speakers. But as for those speakers, mine were all Toyota speakes. That's all they said on em. I forgot what the output was though. Sorry.Inder Singh
