Hey all: I was reading the Nav systems guide and it says i can not play a cd and use the nav system at the same time, now i find that to be really annoying, but anyway off that, if i use a 6 cd changer then can i play a compact disc (music cd) and use the nav system at the same time??? I plan to have a box (speaker box) in the trunk of the Vibe, It is possible to attach one to the stereo (professionally done), the thing im concerend about is that the nav system and the stereo i believe are sorta one unit. If i go to a place like best buy or circit city or the WIz or something it is possible to get a box installed with an amp right? Someone please reply.

As for your qustion. The CD changer is intergrated into the nav system. YOu can listen to the CD changer and watch the nav screen. I like to listen to the changer and leave the rolling map on my screen that shows what is around me. Now if you put a cd into the head unit you can not use the nav because it must have the DVD in the head unit for it to work. I recomend not removing the CD changer because the nav is itegerated with it.As for your Amps. My last car I did not have any RCA aux prots because I left in the factory head unit. So I just hooked up the output from the radio to the speakers in to the amp then to the speakers.. Best Buy or a pro should know how to do it. It will require more work but you dont have a choice.if you have any questions let me know.

Hey: as far as that nav system question, I decided to not go for the Nav system or the cd changer instead i got the moon and tunes package but what I am going to do is get a Nav system put in from a different company (im thinking of an alpine Nav system that is attached to a goose neck), and as far as the box w/ amp, im going to go to best buy and have them attach it to my base stereo (that can with the moon and tunes package) i paid for the lil better stereo might as well get all out of it right. Do you think Best buy will have a problem attaching an amp with box to that stereo?
